New Raid: Battle of Dazar’alor
The Alliance strikes at the heart of the Zandalari empire—while the defenders of the Horde will rally to their new allies’ defense—in an epic new raid, Battle of Dazar’alor. This new raid provides both Horde and Alliance players with unique encounters for their faction—along with the opportunity to play through events from the opposite faction’s viewpoint.

PvP Season 2 Begins
PvP Season 2 has begun and introduces an updated Conquest reward schedule, mounts, and gear. Players who earn 500 Conquest points in a given week through PvP activities including Arenas, Battlegrounds, and Assaults in War Mode will be still be able to choose a piece of gear from each week’s selection; in addition, they’ll now earn a Quartermaster’s Coin, which can be collected and ultimately used to upgrade pieces from this season’s Sinister Gladiator PvP set.

It should be the “Zandalar Forever” achievement.

Hey guys! Now that season 2 is live I’m going to be locking this thread to preserve its information within season 1.
Thanks everyone for the large amount of feedback on this across so many levels of players that participate in Mythic+.

Next steps on a post like this is for me to go through all of these posts and compile them into something that I can send over to the Development Team. This takes us a few days to get it ready and send it over and we’ll discuss as a team some of the points you guys have brought up as well as how certain aspects of M+ feel. You might see some of the points we aggregate from this post in future discussions with you guys as we talk about M+. If I know of any changes that directly result from this information I will do my best to let you guys know.

Thank you again for all of the feedback you’ve provided with us here on Mythic+. I hope you all enjoy Season 2 with the new affix Reaping, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it.

Tides of Vengeance War Campaign achievement is the same. The story arc should be “A Nation United” achievement. Exalted with Proudmoore Admiralty.

There will be no raiding required. Some people may have seen the requirements on the PTR and we do plan to talk about them more to help spread the word.

As it currently stands, if you do the Zandalar quest arc (through the Blood Gate quest and Zul’s death), the War Campaign through the Tides of Vengeance achievement, and get Exalted with the Zandalari Empire, you will be able to do the questline to get access to the Zandalari Allied Race as soon as 8.1.5 goes live.

At BlizzCon we talked about these Allied Races coming in Patch 8.1.5. It might feel like a new patch day with the season update and raid opening up today, but this is still the continuation of the Tides of Vengeance story. We will have more information on the Zandalari and Kul Tiran soon!

I have received a lot of feedback on both sides regarding pinning. A lot of people don’t seem to see them there and I definitely notice responses come in faster when it’s not pinned. That said, it is pinned now and will be there for a few days to avoid it dropping down low.

You can submit your questions here in this thread or on Twitter by using the hashtag #WarcraftQA.

As a reminder, please keep your questions short (40 words or less) so that we can get to as many questions as possible. We look forward to you joining us live on Thursday!

With Battle for Azeroth Season 2 fast approaching, we wanted to give those looking to push for titles at the end of Season 1 an idea of what to aim for.

What follows are the current rating cutoffs as of this post, for the respective titles. These are not the final cutoffs, which will change slightly based on continued play through the end of the season as well as any disqualifications that occur after the season ends, but can be used as a general estimate for what ratings are needed in order to qualify.

  • Dread Gladiator – Horde: 2962
  • Dread Gladiator – Alliance: 2859
  • Hero of the Horde: 2652
  • Hero of the Alliance: 2563

Again, these are not the final cutoffs, which we won’t be able to determine until after the season officially ends.

Hi all –

We have seen some people excessively using the flagging feature as a way to get thread automatically locked or simply as a way to show their disapproval for it. The auto-lock is only meant as a stop-gap measure for negative discussions while our moderation team reviews the situation. If anybody is found to be intentionally abusing the flagging feature, their account may be subject to a suspension.

To be absolutely clear: the flagging feature is not the same as a downvote. The flagging is intended for violations of the Code of Conduct, not disagreements in discussions.

I understand the worries that can happen in a heated debate, so I also wanted to let people know that we do not automate any silences on the forums. Those are all done by our Moderators as they look into and review the conversations taking place.

I fully understand and can relate to how our passion for the game fuels our interest in playing it as well as discussing ...

We’ve seen some confusion about the unlock requirements for Zandalari and Kul Tirans, and how that relates to testing them on the PTR. We’d like to clarify where things stand currently, and what our plans are once they’re officially released.

The basic requirements to unlock Zandalari and Kul Tiran are as follows:

  • Exalted with that race’s faction
  • Completed the content achievement for that race (“Zandalar Forever!” or “A Nation United,” respectively)
  • Completed the Tides of Vengeance War Campaign achievement

On the PTR, we’ve enabled the last part of the War Campaign early, so that the Allied Race unlock quests can be started. As long as you satisfy the other requirements, and are at 3/4 of the requirements for the Tides of Vengeance War Campaign achievement, you’ll be able to speak to Nathanos on the Banshee’s Wail or Halford Wyrmbane on the Wind’s Redemption to get started unlocking Allied Races on the PTR.

We’re actually testing some new improvements that allow the client to share the majority of game data between installs, so you don’t need multiple copies of the entire game in order to test things on PTR.

To use this, you’ll need to be using the Beta version of the Battle.net app (Click the Blizzard logo in the upper left -> Settings -> Beta -> “Switch to Beta”). Then, when you install the PTR, it’ll only need to download about 2.5gb of data. Note that if you have the PTR already installed, you’ll need to uninstall and reinstall it to use this new tech.

Once it’s installed correctly, you’ll see a new folder called “_ptr_” under your World of Warcraft folder, which should be MUCH smaller than a completely separate i...

The development is definitely moving along but it’s a complicated process and I don’t have any specific details to share at this point. We know you’d like to have a Q&A and a variety of things answered, but we’d prefer to have concrete answers to give you guys or new information. I’m personally very opposed to doing a Q&A for the sake of doing it without saying anything new. For everyone’s sake that’s just the better choice when it comes to these types of things.
