Here’s a reminder that tomorrow morning, we’re going to see some significant changes:

• Ny’alotha will open for Mythic difficulty and the first wing of Raid Finder difficulty.
• Mythic Keystone dungeons at +7 or higher, as well as PvP Rank 2 or higher, will now award end-of-run items that scale up to item level 465 (at Mythic +15 and Gladiator, respectively).
• Weekly chests for Mythic Keystone and PvP activities now contain Season 4 items, which are always Corrupted (if the item is eligible – trinkets cannot be Corrupted).
• Weekly chest rewards now scale up to item level 475, and do not Warforge/Titanforge.

With a hotfix that is now live on all realms, we’ve adjusted the damage done by several Corruption Effects:

• Damage dealt by Infinite Stars, Twisted Appendages, and Gushing Wound is now based on the item level of the Corrupted item. This previously scaled dynamically with Attack Power and Spell Power.
• Lash of the Void damage is now based on the item level of the Corrupted Item, and now procs less often than before.

Previously the damage dealt by these powers was modified by Attack Power and Spell Power, which meant that certain specialization abilities or random bonuses could cause drastic swings in their effectiveness. Infinite Stars in particular was too strong against single targets as a result of this and other factors.

This change also adjusts Infinite Stars base damage accordingly, as the scaling method was one of the primary factors behind some of the extreme outliers we saw in our logs and from player feedback. Our goal with this cha...

With a hotfix that is now live, we’ve made the following adjustment:

Dungeons and Raids

• Operation: Mechagon
  • In Mechagon Junkyard and Mechagon Workshop on Mythic Keystone difficulties, end-of-run chests now award Engine of Mecha-Perfection, or Blueprint: Perfectly Timed Differential, or Progression Sprockets for your Vision of Perfection.

This change will be recorded in our next hotfixes update.

We’ve prepared a collection of improvements that we’re going to make to Alterac Valley in WoW Classic over the next few days. Our goal is to make surgical adjustments that address some of the more prominent pain points and unfortunate behaviors, without cracking open the substance of the battleground.

As Soon As Possible

We’re working on a hotfix that will go live soon that will make honorless targets unlootable. This is intended to further discourage camping the starting caves as an efficient activity.

With Scheduled Weekly Maintenance

Several concurrent adjustments should positively affect the initial state of each instance of Alterac Valley:

• Alterac Valley will now allow parties of up to 5 players to queue together. When a party queues together, they will be placed into the same battleground.

• There will no longer be a number in the name of the battleground in the “Join Battle” screen....

I played on Frostwolf throughout original WoW, and it was my experience that we really didn’t have a rivalry with any other realms until the Ahn’Qiraj War Effort got underway.

Then suddenly we were all over websites that were tracking each realm, and people from other realms were in our realm forum taunting us, and so on.

Good times.

We’ve received confirmation that all of the AH mail that was delayed is now delivered and available on realm in this region.

With a hotfix that went live just before the daily reset, we’ve increased some of the rewards from the Visions of N’Zoth Daily Quests. Specifically:

Threat Dailies

• Reputation gain increased from 75 to 125.
• Coalescing Visions increased from 50 to 250.

Lesser Vision Dailies

• Coalescing Visions increased from 1000 to 1500.
• Corrupted Mementos increased from 8 to 30.

The Lesser Visions first of the week rewards are unchanged – players will still get 2000 Coalescing Visions and 50 Corrupted Mementos for their first of the week.

While the bulk your access to Horrific Visions will still come from doing the top-level Assault quests weekly, we wanted to make sure the Daily Quests in particular feel a bit more rewarding.

Again, this change is now live in this region with the daily reset earlier today.

Yes, on the PTR, we’ve disabled the portals to Horrific Visions for now.
