Hello raiders,

With weekly maintenance next week, we’ll be making the following changes to Mythic Rashok, the Elder in the Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible raid:

Rashok, the Elder

• Searing Slam base damage reduced by 6.5% in Mythic difficulty.
• Overcharged damage reduced by 10% in Mythic difficulty.
• Conduit Flare damage reduced by 12% in Mythic difficulty.

We’re working on tuning adjustments for two classes: Mage and Paladin

Mage AoE damage is generally trending a little higher than we’re comfortable with after the most recent update. We’re planning to make a few targeted adjustments to Mage AoE spells to bring them down to a more reasonable level. In addition to the AoE adjustments, Fire will be seeing some additional tuning, as Fire single-target damage is also trending higher than intended.

Testing Focus

• The Hardcore PTR realm is now temporarily closed, and a new PvP test realm is available.
  • Only level-60 template characters may be used on this realm.
  • Please join Battlegrounds and test the new Honor system.

Today, we’ve temporarily closed the Hardcore PTR realm and opened a new PTR realm that only allows template characters for testing the major update version 1.14.4 brings to Classic Era PvP.

Before we dive into the system and how it’s changed, here’s glossary of terms for those who are less familiar with the current version of the system on 1.14.3 Classic Era realms:

The PTR game version is temporarily showing as (DF 10.1.0). Please select that mis-named entry to test the Fury Incarnate PTR.

This will be fixed to 10.1.7 in a future build.

This Public Test Realm (PTR) is a testing environment for the content coming with the Dragonflight: Fury Incarnate update.

Heads up! We’re going to take the Hardcore PTR realm offline later this afternoon.

There should be a 15-minute warning when the time comes, if you’re online.

We’ll bring this PTR realm back online at a future date, and we intend to keep everything intact on it until then.

Sometimes a set isn’t in a state that we can capture and show it right away. We will when we can, though.

Wrath of the Lich King Classic

• Fixed an issue with Deep Wounds, Ignite, and Piercing Shots and their interactions when on a target that has been Cycloned.

  • Fixed an issue where Demonic Knowledge was not properly updating its effectiveness when the active demon’s stamina or intellect was changed.

This change was indeed intended.

The Conquest cap will be lifted next week, July 18 in this region. After the weekly reset:

• Calderax will sell the Conquest boxes (Obsidian Equipment Chest). These will:
  • Require Challenger I in Season 2.
  • Have iLvl 408 gear.
  • Cost 375 Conquest.
• Spinsoa in Zaralek Caverns will sell the Valor boxes (Volcanic Equipment Chest). These will:
  • Require 1000 rating in M+ for Season 2.
  • Have iLvl 398 gear.
  • Cost 250 Flightstones.
