Hello adventurers! The Embers of Neltharion PTR has been updated with the following changes:

DRAGONFLIGHT SEASON 2

• MYTHIC+
  • The Vortex Pinnacle is available with this week’s Mythic+ test.
  • There are new affixes and adjusted affixes available for testing. Players can purchase scrolls from the keystone vendor to add to these to their keystone.
    • New Affix: Incorporeal – While in combat, incorporeal beings appear and attempt to destabilize players with spells that reduce their damage and healing done. Incorporeal beings are susceptible to all forms of crowd control.
    • New Affix: Afflicted – While in combat, Afflicted Souls appear that seek the aid of players. Afflicted Souls spawn with poison, curse, and disease afflictions. Removing any of these afflictions or restoring the spirit to full health causes it to despawn. Fail to remove their afflictions in time will inflict players with a negative status ...

Wrath of the Lich King Classic

• Fixed an issue where Val’anyr, Hammer of the Ancient Kings was absorbing more than intended. Accumulated absorb amounts are now correctly capped at 20,000 health.
  • Developers’ note: The absorb shield from Val’anyr was always intended to have a cap of 20,000 health, but there was a typo in the spell script in original Wrath of the Lich King version 3.3.5. The script was set the absorb amount to 200,000! This was never noticed by players in original Wrath.

Added clarification to two notes above:

• Demonology
  • Demonic Strength now increases the damage of Felstorm by 300% (was 400%). This does not affect PvP Combat.
  • Dreadbite damage reduced by 10%. This does not affect PvP Combat.

Update: Due to overwhelming feedback, the Retribution Paladin changes in the above notes are going to be pushed live tonight.

In patch 10.0.7, we made changes to several classes to address issues we saw with itemization or talent trees. Game data since the patch went live has shown us that certain specs are overperforming, so with scheduled weekly maintenance on March 28, we’ll make the changes below.

CLASSES

DEATH KNIGHT

• Frost
  • All ability damage reduced by 3%.

HUNTER

• Beast Mastery
  • Kill Command damage reduced by 10%.
• Marksmanship
  • All ability and pet damage reduced by 4%.
• Survival
  • Mongoose Bite damage reduced by 10%. This does not affect PvP Combat.
