Playing on High and Ultra mixed at 85% resolution scale.
Granted I have a middle-age rig, I see the game is running pretty smooth (between 70 and 100 fps) most of the time. And there is no overheat from my components, so no hardware throttle at all when I play.
What is weird is that some areas will framedrop at times, and not at other times at the very same spot.
Otherwise great game !

Your CPU is at the minimum spec, so I would recommend playing at lower settings to remove the frame drop.

We have an updating coming soon with more graphical toggles.

Now, after calming down and seeing the focus of the developers to make it run on the steam deck updating with fixes…I just purchased it again believing that they will make the steam deck experience worth. Please don’t make me regret 😅
Thanks for the confidence. Please note this patch will reduce those crashes but they can still happen in rare cases. We have a permanent solve for them coming next week. Thanks for your patience.

I do have a request - can we skip the warning on the load screen? maybe after the first time playing, because it's a waste of 10 seconds every time we start up the game
It's compiling shaders in the background.

We won't be part of the summer sale since we just launched and can only do a single discount for a period of time :( we hope to be in future sales though but in the meantime, i say check us out for only $25 and if you hate it, refund it! Thanks for the support.

Looking forward to that permanent fix. Was really pumped to play this while working from home, as the ability to pause makes this ideal for my job.
another optimization patch to reduce these just went out.

EDIT 6/27/2024

We pushed another hotfix today that will address the crashing on the deck and should eliminate it almost entirely.

PLEASE NOTE: In rare instances you may crash on the quest "Tangled Webs" the first time you see the Gloom Wall. You should not crash again, and we'll release a final fix for this soon.

There was an issue with our last patch that could reduce FPS and potentially crash. We've patched once already to reduce it and have another coming out today or tomorrow that fixes the issue further. Thanks for your patience.

This sounds like a different issue we saw where players can't write to the AppLocal directory to store their save file. Can you try running the game as admin at least once, then seeing if that helps?
