We continue our mission to raise awareness among our players with the help of our How It Works tutorial videos. Read it on the portal
Both have been their own modes as limited-time Events.
In general, diluting the playerbase across a wide variety of different matchmaking queues results in longer wait times. We have 10 tiers of ships in our game, as well as Superships, so even just having a single mode can result in a lot of different queues as people split due to the variety of choices available. Random Battles and Co-Op offer support for all-tiers, which is already a large amount of options. Adding more modes makes for further dilution.
When someone has waited in the Random Battles queue for 5 minutes, the matchmaker will take whatever is available and make a match out of it. This can include mismatched ship types or less than full player count.

Do you have a replay of your recent game that you can share?
I haven't heard of ships getting stuck that far away from islands.
There have been and continue to be instances where ships will get stuck NEAR islands due to terrain added / adjusted during the Submarine underwater rework, but those are found and fixed daily.
Any time you see this, send a ticket to CS
My personal best was from a Ranked game where I had a Minotaur barraging me for a few minutes before a cit through the nose detonated him!

I just wanted to let you know that due to me attending a certain speedrunning charity event for the entirety of last week, there will not be a new entry in the New Player Captain's Log today, 7/5. I haven't had a sufficient amount of time to play the game and thus I won't have much to share.
However, I did want to create a thread just in case any other new players (or experienced players, for that matter) wanted a space to be able to discuss their weekly experiences, ask questions or just have some lighthearted discussions!

There can be punishments for harassing behaviors. It comes down to the replay being reviewed.
