If not wanting toxic behaviour, racial and homophobic slurs (among other things) in our game is a 'one sided agenda' then consider me guilty as charged.

Our rules are quite clear on this: you'll find them in the EULA you agree to before playing and on our website[www.worldsadrift.com]

If you are reported and found in violation of these rules on our official channels and in-game we will take appropriate action.

Simply accepting that 'toxicity is part of the game' is not something that I, or my team are willing to do.

EXCITING NEWS! Before you sink your ship and create a new character, fantastic news - we are working on an option to reset all ALL KNOWLEDGE DATABANKS in the near future to ease in the new overheat and cipher mechanics!
NEW FEATURES AND CONTENT
  • Proximity voice chat is now in the game! The volume will attenuate based on the distance between the speaker’s and listener’s characters. The /mute command will now also mute someone’s voice chat. Typing “/mute USERNAME voice” will only mute their voice channel, leaving their text chat visible.
  • Painting ship parts is now possible! Oh em gee! Customize the color of your ship part by putting paint in the new cosmetic component slots connected to the “standard” crafting components. Dyeing clothing has now been reworked to use the same system, which will cut out the middle step of crafting dyed cloth.

The game is not dead =D is in Early Access and in full speed...we are working hard, fixing stuff and hearing to your feedback to improve the game's experience. Some of the latest cool community activities is the creation of the Community Cloud Council, that consists in a group of players that are helping us in this mission. What you are talking about is actually against our terms of service - spawn-camping revival chambers is harrassment and insulting other players in that manner is a breach too. Please report the players here:

Make sure you include your username, any of their usernames you remember and the time and server it happened on.

I have to agree, if it could be done well it'd be REALLY cool. Grappling is a great method of moving which doesn't involve walking, so that part could be quite immersive and intuitive - but as others said it's also got a super potential for motion sickness.

I don't think there's any plans for it, but Bossa have added VR support to one of their other games in the past. I certainly wouldn't hold out hope for VR support, but I wouldn't say it'll never happen either.
