Customized keyboard controls for Dawn of Ragnarok commands keep resetting to default. This only happens with commands added by the DoR expansion. Other custom controls remain as set. I can customize any controls, including the DoR commands, and play with these custom controls, but when I exit the game and restart it, the DoR commands have returned to their default settings. Reloading a save or exiting to the title screen does not affect the DoR commands. Only exiting to desktop and restarting causes them to reset. The game is up-to-date (TU 1.5.2) and game files have been verified since the latest update. This problem existed with TU 1.5.1 also.

The DoR commands are listed here.
Raven:

  • Auto-Land
  • Land

Abilities:

  • Activate Left
  • Activate Right
  • Activate Top
  • Sacrifice Specialization
  • Acquire Power

Shortcuts:

  • Hugr-Rip

@sidsixt Hi there, thanks for reaching out to report this issue! Could you confirm whether those controls are reset regardless of what you change them to, or if they only reset when you change them to a specific key?

I'd also like to rule out some other potential causes of the issue, so please give the remaining steps in this article a try when you get the chance.

Hey @sidsixt ,

Thanks for getting back to us.

Could you please try deleting the config file before restarting the game?

You can find the config file by going to Documents\Assassin's Creed Valhalla\ACValhalla.ini

Please delete this file then relaunch the game as an admin before amending some keybinds and relaunch the game (as an admin each time) to see if these settings save.

Let us know how you get on!

@sidsixt Thank you for trying! Are your game and Ubisoft Connect downloaded on the same drive? Preferably on the same drive as your OS.

Also, I have created a case for you. Please log in to your Ubisoft account, take a look at your open cases and upload your MSINFO and DxDiag. So we can take a closer look into this!
