Hi there,

I tried AC Valhalla on the free weekend (25 -28 Feb.) and like it so I purchased the Complete Edition by Epic Gamestore.
In the meantime random crashes occur, which I can not comprehend: while trading, in combat, standing around, in game cutscenes, etc.
When a crash happens, I end up on the desktop. I do not get blue- black or whitescreen. It ends abruptly without warning or freeze.
After today's update (Version TUI.3), the game crashes after 3-5 minutes of runtime, even if it's just the title screen.

Perhaps you can help?

  • 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700KF
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti
  • 32 GB RAM (DDR5)
  • Mainboard Asro Z690 Phantom Gaming 4/5D
  • Drive Samsung SSD 860 Evo 500 GB (Installation location)
  • Drive Toshiba DT01ACA050 500GB (Installation location Windows)
  • Windows 10 (Home) 64 Bit
  • All drivers are up to date


My tests so far

  • Reading all the information I could find on the Internet & try it (unsuccessful)
  • Benchmark stress test, GPU & CPU move within the normal range & temperature
  • Reinstalling the game (3 times)
  • Repair the game (2 times)
  • tried all graphic resolutions (from low tu ultra high)
  • sending more than 50 bug reports (at 7 hours playing time)
  • activated V-Sync (FPS limitation)
  • deactivated Motion blur
  • Adjustments in the 3D setting of Nvidia

@ninitex Welcome to the forums. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the game over the free weekend. However, I can understand the frustration having now purchased the game and experiencing multiple crashes.

I want to clarify that the most recent game version is TU 1.5.0. Please make sure you have this installed. In addition, updating drivers can help resolve crashes, so I recommend going through the steps in our PC troubleshooting guide. I realize you may have completed some of these already, but let me know if you see any changes afterwards.

@statusvolatile Gotcha, and thank you for your detailed specs!
I would recommend having the launcher and the game on the same drive if you haven't already.
