Hi Everyone,
Each Tuesday, I launch my most current saved game, then go to the in-game Animus Store to collect my free item.
The first week, I saw the loot box animation and successfully claimed my free item. Hoorah!

However, since then I've not been able to claim any of the free Tuesday items.
I see a countdown (6 days) and choose to redeem, but the loot box animation isn't displayed, nor do I have a new item in my in-game inventory.
It acts as though I've already redeemed the freebie for the current week...but I haven't.

I've tried restarting my Xbox Series X console, even unplugging it & holding down the power button. No joy.

Would really appreciate any help! Thanks!

Hello everyone! Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I'm very sorry to hear that this is happening to you all. It seems that this is primarily happening on Xbox from what I have seen here.

Since there are multiple of you reporting this issue on this thread, I would like to report this to our team for further investigation. To help with the investigation, I ask that one of you please send a video clip showing the following:

  • The weekly free item greyed out in the store BEFORE loading your save and after loading it.
  • Any error messages that may appear when trying to redeem the item


I am also curious to know if this same issue occurs if you create a new save file. Please update this thread with the requested video clip. You can upload the video to YouTube as "unlisted" and then share the link here. Thank you!

@Sp33dyKat WOW! Thank you for taking the time to follow up about this issue and provide us with this super helpful workaround. I am seeing where this was previously reported so I will get all of this included with our report for good measure.

Our development team requires some more information for their investigation:

  • What happens exactly when you try to redeem the free item (for example: infinite loading icon, redeem button greyed out, any type of error)?
  • Could you provide a video with the issue occurring, so our team can have a better understanding of it?
  • What type of connection do you use? Wired or wireless?
