Hi guys,

I am having issue with my new game which I started lately. Anytime I upgrade the workers to artisans and I receive the message from the captain about some expedition the game freezes. Tried multiple new games and its the same all the time. My old saved games are fine but any new gameplay is impossible. I do not have the new season 3 pack yet so I really dont know what could have happened. Anybody having issue like this?

May we please know the specs of your PC? (GPU, CPU, RAM)

And if you haven't done so already, could you please make sure you've given our PC troubleshooting steps a try, including verifying your files to see if they help?

Hello everyone, thank you for getting back to us about these crashes after upgrading your workforce to Artisans.

Could you please try switching in the game options between DirectX11 and DirectX12, before upgrading to Artisans, then try upgrading, to see if you are able to progress past the crash?

Could you also try lowering all of your in-game settings at this point, to reduce any strain on your system, to see if this helps bypass this crash too?

Thank you for your update and sorry to hear that this persists after following those troubleshooting steps.

In this case it would be beneficial for us to take a look at your DxDiag and MsInfo files, we can use these files to investigate further causes for the crashing you encounter

You can submit these in a case which you can open using this link.

@masterofmules Thank you for your reply. I can see that we did recently update your case with some further troubleshooting to do. Can you try this and if it does not work please let us know on your support case that way we can look into it further with you.

@MasterofMules Thank you so much for that update! I'm glad to hear that the game appears to be running smoothly for you again, even if you did have to uninstall that DLC. Have you also updated your support case to let our Support Agents there know that the issue seems to revolve around that DLC as well?

That's really strange as as far as I'm aware we haven't received other reports of the DLC causing crashes but it does seem to be the case for you. As before please ensure your case is updated with that info and we'll report this to the Anno team once all troubleshooting has been exhausted. Thanks!
