My account was hacked and then the guy cheated on it. Now my account is banned with $300+ worth of cosmetics. I try to do a ban appeal but it was denied. I provided more than enough evidence that it wasnt me that did this. I provided log in attempts/ ip addresses from different states and even countries and messages of the guy. But since I'm not a content creator with influence my case is being overlooked and I'm getting screwed over

Could you please email us at support@grindinggear.com and provide your account name and 1-2 character names? We can then look into the ban and get back to you.

I'm afraid we don't discuss account bans or moderation on the forums at all, so posting here about it will not resolve the issue.

Hello Garuda,

Ban appeals are investigated on a case by case basis and online social standing doesn't sway the results of these investigations in any way.

I'm sorry if the outcome was not as you'd hoped however the ban will be upheld and no further action will be taken regarding it.

You will need to speak to our Terms of Service team in relation to any ban @TrippyPanda001.

 

The process to contact our ToS team can be found here: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/account/information-about-banned-or-suspended-accounts/

 

  1. Click Contact us at the top of any page on EA Help.
  2. Select the game that your account was banned or suspended from. If it’s on your whole EA Account, choose Origin.
  3. Choose your platform.
  4. Select Manage my account, then Banned or suspended account.
  5. Fill out any other details below.
    • For example, if you picked Origin, it might ask you if you are accessing the game through an Origin Access membership.
  6. Click Select contact option.
  7. Sign in to your account that has the ban or suspension, if you aren’t already.

Hey @Diqgod our TOS team issue bans for a number of reasons, you can be banned without ever receiving a warning.


You can appeal your ban with our TOS team using the steps I shared above.

I'm sorry but we won't have the specifics of your ban here on the forum side. Can you take a look through your emails? There should be an email from Terms of Service that shares a duration if you've received a temporary suspension as well as the general rule broken i.e.: ban applied for cheating/hacking/hate speech/etc. 

 

If you believe a ban was added by mistake our Terms of Service team can take a look into it for you. Please fill out the webform to send in an appeal to that team.

If you believe an action was applied to your account incorrectly, you'll need to create an appeal to our Terms of Service team using the following page:

We are unable to review or change any account actions on the forums.

 

With that said, do keep in mind appeals exist to make sure an error was not made applying the original action, and will not result in an action being removed if it was correctly applied for an inappropriate name.
