Being critical...sharing why you don't enjoy something is fine. Lingering to harass, calling out the dev, personal attacks, or just talking sh*t is not.
but the culture is so toxic that being candid in public is painting a target on your back
game devs want to talk about what we do, we love to share the challenges we face, the shortcuts we take, the way our pipelines work...but it's rarely worth it
Despite the fact a minority of gamers conduct themselves in this way, it's relatively prevalent in Game Dev.
This is one of the reasons (especially forward-facing) Game Dev's burn out and switch careers.
The gaming community wants Devs to be more candid...

We realize the TLC patch releasing at the same time as Extra Life is less than ideal for players.
Unfortunately, our dev pipeline requires it goes out on the 7th.
To compensate, we'll be increasing the duration of the Extra Life boosted rates so everyone can have their fun!
We implemented further protection against character loss that we're continuing to iterate on. Have you seen an improvement? If not, let us know if you did lose a character during 17/18th Oct EST. Please include date and the platform. We'll continue to refine with your assistance.
Fun fact: I used to get made fun of in school because I would always roll my sleeves up like this even tho I didn't have arms. I would go home and do bicep curls every night. LOOK AT ME NOW MOM!
