To those of you who are somehow angered by this and weren't the target of the tweet: the only people who should be mad about greater transparency re: wages across any industry are C-suite Execs

I'm tired

To address a few responses from non-game dev peeps:

Game Dev is predominantly white & male (72% and 75% respectively with some variation depending upon country). It's becoming more diverse in recent years across all fronts, LGBTQ+ more than gender but we still have a way to go.

There's lots out there on how to support and advocate for women in your workplace. I'd like to add:

Sharing you salary helps women and other marginalised folks know their worth and negotiate

When I was younger I used to think "not my problem" when I saw an injustice that didn't relate to me.

But as I got older I realized that mentality just doesn't get the job done.

We can't have more "not my problem" people than "I'll make it my problem" people.

Make it yours.

It's systemic, that isn't hyperbole.

Sad.

I'll make sure this is called out in the CC as well!
