Alright, cool, so let's look at the Roger Roger notes.
LIGHTSABER HEROES
- Community Request: Lightsabers will now not turn off on their own while Heroes are sprinting, only when toggled off.
- Fixed an issue where lightsaber Heroes could lose their blocking stance when falling from small heights.
- Fixed an issue where a lightsaber Hero would be unable to block when being shot from above by an enemy with a Blaster.
- Fixed an issue that would cause a lightsaber Hero to deal damage to a blocking enemy who is standing behind them.
- Fixed an issue where a lightsaber attack on a blocking Lightsaber Hero would occasionally not trigger VFX and SFX.

The hit detection. Due to it being server side there is a limit as to what can be done, when compared to a client update. We will have further fixes in the next update.

We're preparing a server deployment which will revert changes made to lightsaber combat in the latest update. We're currently in the testing phase but all going well we will deploy the update on Monday.
Will bring you more info as we get closer to the time. This will be a server deployment, meaning no client download is required.

This sub is usually pretty good with the whole no personal attacks. The Star Wars team is DICE, David is now part of the DICE team. Talk about him the same way you talk about me, Dennis and others.
Let's not descend down into a pit of abuse, this sub is above that. Some of the comments here are way out of line and not what I expect from this community.
I play PC as well on SSD. Is there a reason this game often takes between 10-20 minutes to load? Sometimes it is pretty quick but other times it hangs up and says “optimizing shaders” for a long while.
Its not my hardware, i have a Samsung SSD and plenty of RAM with a decent CPU.
10-20mins to load sounds off. I run on a Samsung Evo SSD and it loads pretty quick.
I think its obvious that the reason they don't want to do one is because they don't know how to fix it.
It's more of what happens if we do patch and the knock-on effect to our development schedule for the September update. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction, or something like that.
We aren't dead in the water. David has been working with DICE for a while now, before we announced the content through the rest of 2019, which he's a supporter of.
I'm on an SSD and have been since day 1 and I've never experienced aim drift so not sure it's an SSD issue. Could be but not in my experience.
We don't think it is either, but was interesting to hear. I play on an SSD with no problems (albeit on PC).
Is a hotfix out of question? How's the status of the saber combat in your dev build atm?
No final decision on a hotfix as of yet. Better.
Particularly bad on Xbox servers, but occurs on all platforms. My internet is fine, but the game still continues to lag out and rubber band.
Aim drift
I would greatly appreciate if you put this into the post. But I play on Xbox One X, and the drift can be pretty bad at times. However, I also have an SSD for my most played games, Battlefront II loads so fast on it, however... NEVER EVER install Battlefront II on an SSD, on Xbox. The game becomes unplayable. The aim drift is amplified severely. Please /u/F8RGE could you at least acknowledge this, and try and look into it? thank you.

Thanks for the concern. it's been a bit of a rough week but feeling ok to be back in the office today.
One thing I've continuously stressed is that game development is a team sport. While in my bacta tank last week you were not unheard - people within the team are always reading this sub.
Bugs are being worked on. Lightsaber combat is an area which is receiving our primary focus right now.
