Hi battle pass designer here. Thanks for your feedback. In the short term based on feedback like this I’ve replaced a number of challenges that require the player to take specific actions with “play games”. It should be deploying somewhere among the next couple builds. I recognize that folks want to see a battle pass that doesn’t require you to think about it while in the game. In future passes I’ll be restructuring the challenges to be more along these lines.

Some have noted this already but the reason pass progression is designed around challenges is so that we can offer value in the pass to all players willing to make a certain minimum time commitment. Some players can only play a few hours a week, others play 40. The challenges mean that everyone has a chance to complete the pass, and all players complete it within an order of magnitude of time of each other. There's no one fix that will improve optimization and performance, but it's something that over time, with a lot of changes, we will work on improving :)

We ran into an issue rolling out the new matchmaking configuration. We rolled back to our previous matchmaking rules for now. We'll let you know when we're ready to try again!

HUNTERS & COMBAT General Changes:
  • Increased the visibility of hit indicators at the edge of the screen. This should help players better understand which direction they are taking damage from.
  • Improved melee attack hit feedback by playing hit visual effects (VFX) at a more prominent position.
  • Updated Hive collision box to be more accurate. Hives will no longer block projectiles that appear to not hit them.
  • Fixed a bug that that caused headshots to count as bodyshots in some circumstances.
  • Increased volume of standard and critical hit sounds.
  • Updated hit feedback audio to make damage dealt and received sounds easier to hear.
  • Updated melee hit sounds to be more impactful.
  • Integrated enhanced hit feedback audio for signature attacks and abilities.

I do love the enthusiasm and consistency behind these updates. It's a breathe of fresh air in comparison to other developers that are much more silent. The early MW or Apex days are a good example of that.

Seeing just how passionate the dev is on the YouTube video makes me only wish the best for this team. Hope everything pans out.

Hi, battle pass designer here. Based on player feedback we've decided to simplify the types of challenges and bias towards challenges that don't require the player to take specific actions or fight over resources with their teammates. So those challenges and all challenges pertaining to removed game modes will be removed and in the short term replaced with "Play Matches" challenges. If you complete those challenges before they're replaced, you'll keep your stars and also you'll be able to do the new challenge for bonus stars.

As Colin mentioned in our update yesterday, one of the tasks the team will be working on is updating the map to better fit the Heart of the Hives mode. Our environment art & level design team were wondering what your favorite parts of the current map are? Let us know on this thread what you like!

Thanks for letting us know your concern! Currently, skins fall into 3 tiers, which cost 500, 1000, and 1500 credits depending on the tier. Each tier should have additional changes to the character to make it more unique.

Yes, EU servers are currently live. If you'e in queue past a certain amount of time, you can matchmake outside your region. We are currently working on adjusting the amount of time that takes to happen.
