Hi battle pass designer here. Thanks for your feedback. In the short term based on feedback like this I’ve replaced a number of challenges that require the player to take specific actions with “play games”. It should be deploying somewhere among the next couple builds. I recognize that folks want to see a battle pass that doesn’t require you to think about it while in the game. In future passes I’ll be restructuring the challenges to be more along these lines.
Some have noted this already but the reason pass progression is designed around challenges is so that we can offer value in the pass to all players willing to make a certain minimum time commitment. Some players can only play a few hours a week, others play 40. The challenges mean that everyone has a chance to complete the pass, and all players complete it within an order of magnitude of time of each other.
