I wish I had more to share but we literally have no idea why GFN have taken these games offline. Seems they are not being any more responsive to us than to the players!

Friday is a public holiday in Sweden but I'll take it up again on Monday. Sorry about this!

Let me know if changing hosts helps.

And when it crashes do you get OOS errors on the screen or what happens exactly?

That is the cause of your problem then! I will guess that's your GPU temp, not CPU, would that be right?

You are running in windowed mode and vSync on, so the game will be at 144hz , the same as your Windows desktop. If you put it in fullScreen mode, disable Vsync, and cap the fps at 60 does that temp reduce to be below 80c the whole time?

If it is still too hot when run like that you likely have a hardware problem. Clean out all air vents it has (compressed a... Read more

Do you get sound in CK2 and CSL okay?

In March you would have been on game version 1.3.1 . If you revert to that now does it have this problem or not?

DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log

Has this always happened ever since you've had this game? Or only since when?

When you say your screen goes black, do you mean the monitor turns off? Or the computer hangs or powers off? Or what exactly? What do you have to do to recover?

I have no idea what could possibly cause that very specific problem, I am sorry. Has this always happened with these players, or it was okay up to some point?

Does it matter who is host?

Any mods in use?

I'm afraid this is pretty clearly a hardware fault, most likely a CPU or memory stick:

Windows Error Reporting:
+++ WER0 +++:
Fault bucket 0x124_0_GenuineIntel_PROCESSOR_Mae_BANK4_MSCOD0080_MCACOD0400_AR_PCC_UC_IMAGE_GenuineIntel.sys, type 0
Event Name: BlueScreen
You could try a clean wipe and reinstall of Windows, but I think a trip to the hardware shop is likely to be necessary.

Sorry that's happened to you!

We are aware of an issue where some customers can't login/stay signed in with their Paradox account which then results in being unable to play multiplayer. With the latest patch it solved it for a vast majority of players but sadly not everyone >
Rest assured we're investigating this further and both the CKIII and tech team are trying to figure out the cause (and a solution!) but sadly there isn't a confirmed workaround for the time being :(. We have two possible workarounds that may solve it:

Disable IPv6
- Close CK3
- Go to Control Panel > View Network status and tasks > Change adapter settings (left side)
- Find your Hamachi Connection and Disable it
- Find your Internet connection adapter (for me, it was WiFi)
- Right click your internet adapter and select properties
- Scroll down to find "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)... Read more

I agree it is not temps, and unlikely to be drivers by this point.

IMO a better approach would be to take it to a hardware shop and have it looked into, especially if you can demonstrate the problem to them.

By posting here you get the same people you did in your support tickets, just so you know!

I am still of the opinion you have a hardware issue with your machine. Have you had that checked out?

For the missing DLC please lodge a support ticket at paradox.zendesk.com

I have not been able to find out anything about these games allegedly being offline for maintenance. Can we ask you to please contact GFN support and see what they say about that?

I see you got some bluescreens, including this very worrying one:
Windows Error Reporting:
+++ WER0 +++:
Fault bucket CORRUPT_MODULELIST_CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT, type 0
Event Name: BlueScreen
Are these associated with the game crash problem yu mention, or something else?

Either way according to this is is either a driver or hardware fault:

If you can run ck3.exe directly but the launcher can't , this is usually a permissions problem.

Please right click on each of these, compatibility, and set them to run as the Windows Admin user:

ck3.exe and dowser.exe
C:/users//AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2.2021.6/paradox launcher.exe
C:/users//AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/bootstrapper-v2.exe

Good luck!

I assure you they absolutely know about this, but so far as I know cannot change it.

However you are welcome to lodge it as a bug report in that forum if you wish.

In that screenshot we can see that a launcher update has installed, but you haven't restarted the launcher to apply it.

Please do that - does it now show 2021.6 ? or still an older version?

I believe this is a side effect of the new Jomini framework used in this game and Imperator, and presumably in future games such as Victoria 3.

So far as I know there is nothing you can do about it I am sorry! But you could check in the User Mods forum here, maybe they've found a way around it?

I don't believe so, I'm sorry - the game name you choose when you started it is set for that campaign.

All I can imagine then is that AMD have not yet optimised that new card's driver and settings in Catalyst. Certainly keep the driver and other AMD software up to date!

You'd need to detail what you feel are the current 'inaccurate' names, in what way they are wrong, and what they should be.

However suggestions for additional names (rather than bug fixes to existing ones) would go in the Suggestions forum instead.
