I am sorry none of that helped. I do not know what is wrong in this Windows installation that is preventing our game from starting.

Wat if you make another user ID in Windows, log into Windows as that and try the game under there? Any different?

The nVidia devices is a GPU; your CPU is Intel.

I have seen this happen when there are separate outputs for the two video systems. Do you have your monitor plugged into the nVidia output or the system board output?

Probably not related to this problem but your Windows has had no major update applied since 2018. Run the Update app and look for a new Win10 version to apply, install it and reboot.

A couple of different errors in CK3.exe in that dxdiag, very unusual. And some other Windows errors, not 100% sure what to make of those.

Can you again please run all these installers:

Those files show game version 1.3.1 but current is 1.4.2 - have you opted into a beta or something? If so please opt out of all betas while we work on this.

Unfortunately the dxdiag is not much use as I think you hit the Save All Info button before it finished loading. Please try again, but wait until the green load bar is finished first, thanks.

Rest assured we're investigating this further and both the CKIII and tech team are trying to figure out the cause (and a solution!) but sadly there isn't a confirmed workaround for the time being :(. We have three possible workarounds that may solve it:

Disable IPv6
- Close CK3
- Go to Control Panel > View Network status and tasks > Change adapter settings (left side)
- Find your Hamachi Connection and Disable it
- Find your Internet connection adapter (for me, it was WiFi)
- Right click your internet adapter and select properties
- Scroll down to find "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) and uncheck the box
- Select Ok
- Start up CK3 and should work.

Disable all other network adapters

  1. Go to Windows Control panel.
  2. Click on Network & Internet.
  3. Cli...

I don't know then, I'm running out of ideas here. Do these players have other machines at their locations they can use as a test?

Or even i guess at other locations?

Still a video/GPU issue, it seems looking at that error log.

In file explorer right click on ck3.exe , properties, compatibility. Untick anything in ther ethat is ticked, then tick "disable fullScreen optimisation", apply and exit. Then run ck3.exe directly from there.

If that's no better let's try a clean reinstall of the nVidia driver:

- uninstall it, and all other nVidia software
- reboot
- install that new driver again
- reboot again

Good luck!

There is no settings.txt for this game, only pdx_settings.txt

I don't think any of those old options are in this much newer game - they are 2D and this game is 3D. They are really holdovers from pre-CK2 days.

They could try deleting the whole Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/ folder (except any valued save games) I guess.

If that doesn't help I can only assume this is something about their setup doing this. Quite what I am not sure!

If they use Windows Defender as their firewall, ck3.exe needs to be allowed through it in both the Public and Private domains. Similarly if they have firewalls in their internet routet/modems.

These are saves from older game versions, is that right?

You could just move them out of the save games folder while you work on your mod.

Ronimjan said: I have Stellaris, but sadly Player 4 doesn't (as far as I know).
This still only happens when BOTH player 2 and 4 are in the game, not just one of them?

What about players 1 and 3, are either or both of them necessary for this problem to occur?

While Avast is the most troublesome Av app for our games, I would have thought what you've done would have fixed that.

There are other possible causes of won't-run problems of course. Please go here:

We are aware of an issue where some customers can't login/stay signed in with their Paradox account which then results in being unable to play multiplayer. With the latest path it solved it for a vast majority of players but sadly not everyone >

Nothing of any use in those files unfortunately.

When you get the bluescreen - BSoD - there will be some text on it, like MACHINE CHECK EXCEPTION or other such error - what does it say?

You can also look into them in the Windows Event Viewer, any useful text for them there?

Then I think there is something wrong with those players' setups in some way. Are they on the same ISP or internet router/modem, something like that?

I see you have Stellaris, can you test with these players in that game too? Player 1 will need to opt into the crossplay branch for that game in the Steam Betas tab for that game.

This is the last ever driver for that video card spo you may as well apply it:
NVIDIA DRIVERS GeForce Game Ready Driver WHQL
Then I think we should do a clean reinstall, and get rid of all those mod errors:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-CK3
- unsubscribe fro ALL mods in the Steam Workshop for this game
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/CK3 AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3 folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Ve... Read more
