Happy #Halloween from all of us at #DeadMatter!
We thought we'd celebrate the occasion by paying homage to the poster for George A. Romero's 1978 classic, Dawn of the Dead.
We hope our backers enjoy testing 0.7.0 and we can't wait to show more to the rest of our followers.
The 0.7.0 update arrives tomorrow at 11:59pm for backers. With that, we wanted to show a comparison of Dead Man's Flats as it's the core focus of 0.7.0. β οΈ

To conclude our celebration of #zombie gaming, we're highlighting #TheLastofUs.
Though maybe not quite "zombies", the game's fungal foes are every bit as horrifying.
Pushing the boundaries of both storytelling and visceral violence, the game is one the best in history.
We teased a single shot of an outdoor patio area in last week's update. πͺ
We now have that area completed and ready to show off! A weekend getaway resort left in disarray by the apocalypse. The focus was on abandonment in this area.

Today we're featuring a game that turned anyone with a smartphone into a #zombie-killing machine, #PlantsVsZombies! π»π§
Originally launched on PC and Mac, the tower defense title prioritizes quirky enemies and addictive gameplay over visceral terror.
Zombies can be silly too.
Heels on the ground: true Slav around. πͺ Heels in the sky: American spy! π
We've added this classic striped tracksuit to the game! Favoured in eastern Europe and respected by all, the garb is extra stretchy to allow maximum squatting AND infected evasion speed! πββοΈ #DeadMatter
Today's #zombie gaming history post is dedicated to co-op classic #Left4Dead. π§
Countless nights were spent fighting endless hordes of tanks, witches, and rabid infected.
Its legacy lives on through similar multiplayer titles and its recent spiritual sequel, #Back4Blood.
We're speeding towards the 0.7.0 Closed Alpha update on Oct. 31 and have another blog post to fill y'all in on how things are coming along. π

Julian from our team has been improving the retroreflective shading model that #DeadMatter uses to enhance navigating with limited light sources.
This will help players to explore and drive at night, detect imminent danger, or even spot other survivors. #indiedev #indiegame
