Well, it exists on PC, because PC hardware. And it exists on PlayStation because we launched at a time where the hardware existed. When we launched on Xbox, series X wasn’t a thing, so making a Series X version is something we’ve had to have room to do, especially since it also means we’ll have another version to test and maintain.

They’re not going away. The theme is just not the rival robots anymore.

It's completely arbitrary

Yeah, I can't really argue for the logic behind that one. At all.

What it does is add a new functionality to the basic weapon without changing the way it works, so you can play with it like you are used to, and use the new feature.
The rocket OC removes something because of something else. The guidance is extremely limited, but you get to shoot salvos instead.
That's the main thing - one just adds to the gun, while the other changes something at the cost of something else, and that's the unstable part. It's not the end result, it's the change itself.

But it still shoots like it's supposed to. The Pocket Rocket's main thing is the guidance, which this overclock voids (almost completely).

The female character I believe was leaked during an early stream, but as far as I remember, it was to explore one of the possible routes to go. The result didn't live up to the standard we'd want for a female character, and made us realize that we'd need to redo a major part of the character rig to make it happen, and that's currently not in the plans.

This is the correct interpretation. While the characters are male, it's not really what defines the game. We did want to do female characters, but with the amount of work needed to redo the underlying systems, it's such a massive undertaking that we currently don't have any plans to do so, even though we'd like to.
