Bit of an update on our UI issues for the sake of transparency. It's really frustrating not to be able to help people with issues, but specially people with crashes. Normally if there's a crash going on that can be reproduced then it's maximum priority and nothing else is worked on until that's fixed, but this is assuming it's in our control to do so.

Crash when loading maps/leaving games

There is a crash on Gameface happening around the time a game starts or ends. Gameface is the HTML engine we use for rendering the menu interface, made by Coherent. It happens more consistently for some users for w/e reason we haven't been able to surmise and it's most likely the crash you are experiencing. Gameplay

  • Fixed an issue causing projectiles to go through props with the “movement float” property.
  • Fixed an issue causing items to become invisible and unavailable for a player if the picking is predicted by the client but the server eventually denies it due to timing. E.g: when picking pairs of health items simultaneously if one of the items makes the player reach the HP limit, and when dying as the item is grabbed.
  • (Fixed regression). A previous fix to weapon fire going through terrain was accidentally reverted and was reinstated earlier today. Thank you to fohristiwhirl for the report.
  • Fixed the previously undocumented mechanic that prevents assists being rewarded if the player under attack eventually heals for 50 HP or more. The removal of the assist mark was not being triggered by healing from a teammate with Siphonator, or from picking small or medium health items.

Before typing /map something you can type one of these

/game_mode practice can give you ammo and self damage

/game_mode edit can give you ammo and no self damage

/game_mode duel can give you the duel conditions of only machinegun, ammo and self damage

  • Fixed an issue where the client would incorrectly proceed to join a warmup or custom match after a matchmaking match was found.

  • Added a new type of clip option called “sound” which can be used on props causing them to completely occlude sound queries. In case anyone wants to try playing maps outside of their designated mode, here are the steps:

1) In custom lobby, set the game type to the game type you want to play

2) In console do /lobby_custom_map duel_perilous (or whichever map name you want to do)

3) Click "More Settings", change any setting in this submenu, then immediately change it back (this is the one weird step which seems like a bug, but it is required or else the game won't start on the correct map)

4) Click "Start Game"

I played 2v2 TDM on Perilous yesterday and thought it was kinda fun.

You can change a setting like duration and change it back to enable the map, without having to go into the More settings submenu

Should be done for next version, yes, but not sure about 8 hours :) sometimes testing/last-minute fixes extend very late into the morning.   • Introduced Knockout frags. When a player dies from environmental damage, the player who caused the most knockback to the dead player in the last 8 seconds before the death is awarded the Knockout frag.

  • The player inactivity kick time in queue matches has been reduced from 3 minutes to 2 minutes.
  • There is now a warning issued to inactive players 30 seconds before being disconnected.

I provided you with information explaining why your account was initially banned for 1 week (the reason being bad behavior), I did not say who banned you. This ban became indefinite after your decision to evade the ban by creating new accounts, cheating on them, and engaging in the type of behavior your original account was banned for again

At the moment the process is not ideal, it's possible to uninstall EQU8 by running Diabotical-Launcher.exe with the --equ8_uninstall launch command but in your case with Diabotical already uninstalled:

  • Go to Windows search and type cmd then right click on the command prompt and launch it as administrator
  • Copy-paste and run sc delete EQU8_13
  • Copy-paste and run sc delete EQU8_HELPER_13
  • Go to the ProgramData folder by copy-pasting %ProgramData% in the Windows explorer address bar and delete the EQU8 folder
  • Go to the System 32 drivers folder by copy-pasting %windir%\system32\drivers in the Windows explorer address bar and delete EQU8_HELPER_13.sys

Note that no part of EQU8 will be active without the game running.

We hope to make this simpler in the future

Visual changes

  • There is now a gradual transition when zooming in or out. The speed of both transitions can be customized in Settings-More Settings-Zoom, if you wish to return to the instant zoom set Zoom-in and Zoom-out time 0. During the Zoom-in and Zoom-out period the sensitivity scales according to your sensitivity settings and the FOV at the time.
  • When zooming, the weapon now scales according to your zoom FOV. If you prefer the weapon to not scale you can toggle this setting off in Settings-More Settings-Zoom-Scale weapon when zooming.

Nice to hear that! That's right! It should be only for some like 200+ pings and guys who just moves alltime teleporting. My gameplay almost came to normal but freezes still present. If you increase threshold a little bit more it would be ideal I think.

But still should be some interpolation command to make warping players be smoother for opponents, idk... like ex_interp, cl_interp or like that ;)

If you are still getting some freezes you must be incredibly laggy. We'll increase the threshold again when we've had the change to normalize extreme warping and test it for a while, but for now it's probably already too generous. But also: do you know why your connection to our servers is so bad? If you DM me I can tell you how to do a trace to the servers you are playing in and we may a routing issue that we can fix.
