

Hi everyone! We've been seeing a lot of questions about the Cyrodiil Champions test currently on the PTS. To help clarify a few points, we will be hosting a very brief (15-20 minute) livestream today at 1pm EST on twitch.tv/bethesda to answer some common questions including what the goals of this test are, how this current test is different from what will be on Live, what success looks like from our end, and more. @ZOS_Kevin Any update on when the Hotfix will be released?Team is working on it now. It will be today. Everyone is doing checks and such to make sure things are correct, so we should have an update later today.

And getting the data needed is essential to improvements.My thought is that if they don't get meaningful data, cyrodiil eventually just gets shut down if it can't be fixed.I think shutting down Cyro and IC is the goal. BGs only.
@ZOS_Kevin tell me why completely gut everything all at once and hope you can tell what the issues are? wouldn't it make more sense to eliminate one or two things per test? also as a year one player, I have always enjoyed theory crafting, playing my own way as has always been eso moto.. now i get this is only a test but you are literally looking at ways to take all the options away from the pvp community. wrong direction. Think you also need to look at the drag the old gen consoles are causing... only mmo this old that doesnt have a minimum operating system requirement...There seems to be a misunderstanding here about the test. The point of this test is purely for the sake of performance, and getting calculations as low as possible on the server. Already knocked out 7 of them on this status call. Glad to see them back, these are fun. I'm glad to see rewards tied to milestones rather than individual Pursuits. @ZOS_Kevin just a heads up - there's still some a minor issue with claiming rewards, at least on PS5. When a reward is eligible to be claimed, and I select the claim all button, I have to close out the whole Golden Pursuits screen and relaunch for the reward to be recognized as claimed and the prompt to go away.Thanks for noting this. Have you placed a ticket in for this? If not, that would be helpful. Will still pass it along on my end, but wanted to make sure this doesn't fall through the cracks.
Is the team going to look at feedback about how balanced the skills and classes are? I really liked the overall idea of the campaign, but I wish there were more build options. Adding weapon skills would definitely help with that.So the goal here in PTS is to test performance. We understand everyone is looking at skill/class balance. While that is important, it's jumping several steps ahead of what we are trying to accomplish with the test. Before we can realistically look at balance, we need to make sure things are working as intended for performance. It is why we are stressing the importance of answering the questions in the first post. If we can't get in info needed to make things work properly, then balancing means nothing anyway. This isn't to ignore thoughts on balance, but rather to make sure we are clear about the objective of this test on PTS.
