Hey all, thanks for your patience while we fully investigated this. Just posted an update in this thread, but the TL;DR is we'll be doing a hotfix to address this tomorrow morning, all allocated Champion Points are being reset, and nobody is getting banned.

Hi everyone,

When Update 32 launched earlier this week on PC, a bug was introduced that allowed some players to allocate upwards of 65k Champion Points after performing certain actions. However, no additional power beyond the normal 3600CP could be earned or utilized, and points are reset upon zoning or relogging.

We were able to identify the issue causing this and are scheduling a hotfix for tomorrow, November 4 beginning at 4am EDT on the PC megaservers. This will require downtime but we anticipate it only taking a couple hours to complete. During this time, we will be doing a forced respec on all Champion Points. Please take this time to jot down your point allocations! This will not affect your abilities or attribute points – just Champion Points.

What about the Crimson Diamond lead for Belharza's Band? Is that one bugged too?

Just double checked and yes, that one is also bugged. We'll make sure to get that fixed in the first incremental as well.

Right now it's looking like it'll go into the first incremental, currently scheduled for November 15.

Thanks all! We believe we identified the issue and will roll out a fix as soon as we can.

We're still working on getting this fixed, but in the meantime, try running the system file checker tool. You will still get an error but it should at least allow you to log into the game.

Can confirm that this is happening now. I'm PC-NA.
Finished a world boss fight and was stuck in combat for about 20 minutes.
I tried...
Sneaking
Roll dodging
Reload-UI
Disabling add-ons and reloading UI...
And none of it worked.
I tried to use my mount to travel to the way shrine but couldn't Mount because I was in combat and had to run to the wayshrine.
I tried to use the wayshrine to portal out of the zone but they are disabled if it thinks you're in combat and you can't use them
I then tried to quit the game but was given the notification that I could not quit because I was in combat. I had to hit alt f4 to quit the game.

I'm enjoying the patch so far overall but this bug makes it very difficult xD
