All add-ons off. Crashed anyway.

Just to double check, did you submit that crash report after you got it?

try removing libaddonmenu-2.0, it wrecked my pChat but I can play now

Might be the culprit. Noticed the game crashed when lazywritcrafting finished "updating".

After disabling addons, game stable again.

Edit 1: welp aint libaddonmenu-2.0. Tried just singling it out.

Try disabling NodeDetection if you have that?

Hey everyone, please try disabling not just addons but libraries as well, and see if that helps?

Enrik72;c-7742790

so... bye bye addons?

Not necessarily as we're still digging into this. But as mentioned earlier, please make sure you are completely disabling addons and libraries to see if that helps.

Had the same problem on all characters, disabled addons and still the same, disabled libraries now have no problems can play on all characters.

Hmm, could someone else try this and see if it helps at all?

While we continue to look into this, please make sure you have disabled all your addons (and relog) to see if that helps in the meantime.

Just wanted to note that our team is still looking into this. We have narrowed down the potential issue, but nothing concrete to share yet. I will follow up once we have more solid info. Thanks for your continued patience.

Thanks everyone. We're continuing to dig into this.

To confirm, is anyone getting an error message after you crash to desktop?

Hi, everyone. Today we are announcing a change in our policy concerning the sharing and discussion of unofficially released information, rumors, and datamining on the official ESO forums. Starting today, all posts containing any rumors, datamined content, or otherwise unofficial, unreleased information will be a violation of our forum community guidelines and will be removed, regardless of whether the information is true or false.

You are still welcome to post suggestions, ideas, and guides related to officially released information that we have shared in articles, livestreams, interviews, on the PTS, and on our social media channels.

While we understand some will be disappointed in this decision, we have made this decision for a few reasons.

Six hours is a long downtime.

From experience here, we can only hope downtime is a mere 6 hours.

The PC servers are open now.

Thanks for the continued feedback all. We are going to continue investigating into tomorrow. Remember, if you haven't done so already please make sure to note the following to help us during the investigation.

Are you playing on PC or Mac?
Are you using the native client or Steam?
Are you on PC NA or PC EU?
And would you be able to get a copy of your host developer folder and share it via DM? This is the help article to access the folder: https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/25196/

This info will help us narrow down the issue. Thanks so much.

Bypassing the patcher by launching eso64.exe (Zenimax Online -> Game -> Client -> eso64.exe) has allowed me to log in. I suggest those reading this do that until ZOS can provide a more permanent solution.

If those with issues could try what @"Inari Telvanni" did and try launching the eso64.exe to bypass the launcher, that would be helpful. Let me know if that works and I can pass that on to the team.

Welcome to The Elder Scrolls Online v8.2.5 and the final DLC in this year’s Legacy of the Bretons adventure: Firesong! In this update, you can explore the island of Galen and dive deep into the culture and histories of Tamriel’s druids. While doing so, collect new item sets, unique collectibles, Antiquities, achievements, and more. You’ll also be able to discover a new Tales of Tribute Patron deck during your adventures through Firesong – The Druid King.

In the Update 36 base game patch, we’ve added a new Target Marker system that allows you to mark allies, enemies, and even yourself with a unique icon. There are also several Housing quality of life improvements, along with a new setting to hide pets around some of the more busy interaction stations in towns. For PvP, Emperor bonuses will now scale depending on how many home Keeps you own, and we’ve added Armory Stations in both Cyrodiil an... Read more

If this works for non-steam users, we will write something up to help those on steam replicate the process.

So for those who are not using steam and running the native client, we would like you to delete and reinstall the patcher. The team wrote up some steps for you to try here. Again, any feedback regarding if this worked is helpful. We'll pass any and all information over that could be helpful to the team. Thanks, all.

[*] Close the Patcher
[*] Navigate to the main Zenimax Online directory
[*] Delete the "Launcher" directory
[*] Download the latest ESO installer from www.elderscrollsonline.com
[*] Run the installer and install it to Zenimax Online directory (or whatever your directory is called)
[*] The patcher will open automatically when the installer completes.
[*] See if it opens without issues.
