Here to address the variety of stability issues you've encountered and reported today, since we released a small hotfix this morning to target a lighting issue.

This hotfix unfortunately included some incomplete data which is causing the crashes you have been experiencing.
We have made the decision to roll back this hotfix in order for you to be able to have the best experience possible in game, over the course of the long weekend ahead.
We will then address the underlying issue following the team's return on Tuesday, after the Bank Holiday.

With the last glimmers of ghoulishness within the Galaxy dwindling away now, as we shift into November and away from All Hallows, there's an important piece of information regarding the in game Halloween event that we must share with you.

The in game event itself will remain ever present for Commanders to discover and will not be removed, however the in game rewards recieved for working through the event phases will no longer be available to collect, as of this Friday, the 4th of November.

To be as clear as I possibly can be, you have the remainder of Wednesday (today, November 2nd UTC), all of Thursday (November 3rd UTC), but from midnight UTC - leading into Friday, November 4th (UTC) - you will no longer be able to recieve in game Halloween Event rewards for progressing through the event.

This was a beacon of light release against a number of stability issues (and more) enountered from an earlier driver update, raised in a past thread (Information regarding AMD RX 6000 series driver updates).

Following reports on some unusual behaviour of the BGS following Update 14, I have a direct notice from the team to share with you.

We have now identified and resolved an issue that was causing errors with how influence is processed within the faction simulation*, which will take effect following the next faction simulation tick.

As this issue has resulted in some unexpected changes to influence for numerous factions across the galaxy, we are currently deploying a change that will result in upcoming ticks processing correctly.

We'd also like to take a moment to explain some additional action we are taking to to rectify some of the impacts of the error.

Sorry to bring such news into your Saturday, but it’s been alerted that a number of Commanders have reported issues over the last hour or so, with logging into their Elite Dangerous accounts via Steam.

The primary issue being for some that their Steam login was replaced with the ‘purchase/redeem’ routine.

As I’ve been typing this out, we are seeing Commanders being able to return to the Galaxy via Steam again, so hopefully this was a temporary situation, however an eye will be kept out for any additional reports.

Just wanted to show acknowledgment.
