I'll try doing some more raids without re-equipping and see if I can get a good cache file to follow up with a "suspiciously one tap" wearing a Killa Helmet or Tan Airframe with the Multi-hit face shield, mabye one of them will be useful.

UPDATE Nikita responded and I did some tests with a friend. From what I was able to find, The Armor bug ONLY affects the breathing noise, and still protects as expected. I'll let anyone know if I find anything otherwise:

ORIGINAL POST: PSA! Always take off and reequip armor when spawning into a raid, there's a bad armor bug!
Lately I've had every single raid I spawn into with a faceshield I don't hear breathing; meaning my armor is not protecting my head's hitbox. Streamers like Kotton, etc. are doing this.
If you feel you may have been unfairly or 1-shot through a Killa helmet with a TT or single chest shot through a fort and Tactic... It's because you probably had this glitch invalidating your gear.
can't confirm that this bug still exist. the idea that if you don't have breathing and that means that your helmet is not working was tested many times and did not confirmed. Anyway if you any additional info how to exactly replicate it - send bugreport and put a number of ticket here. It will be really helpful! Thanks!

Backpacks IRL have a quick release and its common for militaries with patrol packs or ruck sacks to release the bags once a firefight begins to free themselves of the weight.
Why would this be amazing for Tarkov? If you are 90kg you are stuck moving at a snails pace, so if you get caught up in a fight you can quickly and easy drop your backpack to regain mobility to engage in the fight with less of a hindrance - then when the fight is over, move back to your pack and be 90kg again. It could really help players quickly get rid of extra weight on them in an emergency situation to regain necessary speed and mobility, especially if they have heavy armor on. They wont be slow moving ducklings, or atleast less-so.
It will be quicker and easier than needing to open inventory and discarding the bag, which takes you out of ...

can we at least be able to tell when it is night time in these maps? I keep wasting nightvision when it's 9pm and still light out. running into a raid fully geared with NV and no helmet thinking it's night, and then it's not is one of my biggest gripes right now.

Well, I can confirm that sometimes the player counts can be too low. This was not a singular case either - I spent a weekend two weeks ago trying to do some factory runs where it would spawn 1-2 players (including me) in the match.
This is certain too: I spawned near gate 3 extract, and didn't spawn late. No shots, no other extracts were opened, no bodies anywhere (until scavs came in). Sometimes there would be 1 other player, but quite a few of these it spawned me without any other players. Sadly didn't think about sending in a bug report, but it can happen.
