The new jump animations do look fantastic and they will return! However the the issue with the jump cloak timer was not intended and can have a significant effect on gameplay in certain circumstances. We need to address that.

Comment

We have just deployed a patch which will temporarily revert the new jump animation that was added in today’s Clear Vision update. We will do more work on the feature to address concerns about the jump cloak timer starting before the animation has completed. Please restart your launcher to receive the update and then any running clients.

We have our engineers looking at the reported audio issues that started with the Invasion Chapter 3. Unfortunately, I don’t have a date for when the fix will be deployed just yet. Will keep you posted!

Hello everyone,

Our downtime today will be extended by approximately 15 minutes as we need to perform some manual work on the server-side. Sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused and thank you for your understanding!

Nevyn beat me.

Yes, final liminality didn’t work out the way we had planned. Apologies for any frustration this has led to. We’ll get this fixed up as soon as we can and make this doesn’t reoccur after you’ve all put in so much hard work.

Still, congratulations on putting Raravoss into final liminality. That will stand after we sort out the situation with the sec status in the system.

Nah, standard release builds. Very weird problem.

We’re aware of an issue with the market that is causing transactions to be slow and sometimes prevents orders from being submitted (the workers are rebelling!).

We’re looking into it now, will let you know if I get more information.

At approximately 21:02 we experienced a a mass disconnect of clients from Tranquility. Players should now be able to log back in and we are investigating the cause however it does not appear at this stage that this was an issue with our infrastructure. We will keep you updated both here on the EVE Status Twitter account.

Anyone who lost ships due to disconnections can submit a ticket at ...

I did some testing last night, simply adding the ampersand doesn’t work. I presume because QT isn’t really using a shell to do the launching.

Using qprocess::startDetatched kinda works, however the exefile (game client) blocks shutdown of the launcher. Similar symptoms to the thread problem, when the launcher is closed the window disappears, but the actual process remains open until the exefile process also quits. This seems to mean that qprocess::startDetatched doesn’t actually start the process fully…detatched.

Do you see the same thing with the ampersand trick on your system ?
