On this day in 1961, Ham, the first hominid in space, took off. Thankfully, he landed with only a bruised nose. His flight was 16 minutes and 39 seconds long. He lived out his days in happy retirement and passed away on January 19, 1983, he was 25 years old.

On this day 8 years ago, the Bloodbath of B-R5RB, the largest pvp battle in gaming history at the time, took place. The battle involved over 7,548 players, with 576 capital ships including 75 Titans, and thousands of smaller vessels lost.
