I wanted to shed light on this issue which is why I posted earlier. It’s not as simple as it looks, and at this time we are unable to hire enough people to work weekends to make this viable. It is not an option to have enough of our current staff on a rotating schedule due to their family lives, or for other circumstances. We can’t amend their contracts to force them to do this, as it is illegal and highly unethical.
You are all welcome to your opinions but I am letting you know that this isn’t viable for us at this time, and won’t be changing in the near future.
I understand your frustration and I have spoken with the team. We will see what can be done to stabilize servers.
I’m not sure how this works in other countries, but if staff in Australia work over weekends they often have to be paid at an increased rate, even if it’s within their weekly hours. Eg, if someone works a Saturday they get 1.5x the amount of normal pay, and up to 2x on a Sunday. Is this different in the US?
The reason you’ll see me working odd hours over the weekend is that I have this extra time built into my contract, and I get some other benefits for working outside of normal office hours. Also, when something goes wrong there is not usually one staff member who can fix it. It will often require a mix of people, depending on what the issue is. If it was a matter of one person working over a weekend and having them swap, it would be something we could discuss with our team. However, this is not the case, and one person often isn’t enough to implement a fix.

Also please note that a CLIFFY error is just an error which alerts the team to contact certain people to investigate it, so if you saw one 8 days ago it’s completely unrelated to this weekend’s issues and you should contact support about it if it wasn’t just a once off so we can fix that for you.
Unfortunately, last weekend one of our hosts had connectivity issues which is what caused it last weekend.
I’ve notified the team of this weekend’s issues, checked and can see our game servers were online over the weekend, so while I wait for the team to investigate the error messages I’m going to be looking around to see if there was a widespread issue over the weekend with a 3rd party.

We will be changing EVK drops to be consistent. This means that whether there is a Vault event on or not, the chance to get an EVK will be 10% of the normal vault key drop.
This will go out with the 5.2 Update.

Yes so previously the EVKs were meant to be unaffected by Vault Weekends, but based on player feedback we decided to change that. The increase for EVKs on Vault weekends isn’t 10% of the Vault Keys on Vault weekends.
The reason I’m being cagey about giving a % is because the programmers have left for the day and I’m not sure how to give a correct % for the EVKs on Vault weekends as it’s not a field in the code or something where it says very straight forwardly “this is the EVK drop rate on Vault weekends” I’ll see if I can get a % and if I can disclose it later on.

Hey everyone, unfortunately, I made a mistake when answering some players’ questions about the Epic Vault Key drop rate on Vault event weekends. I answered that we had taken the feedback on and had increased the chance for Epic Vault Keys during the last weekend Vault event.
The correct information is that this change won’t go live until version 5.2 (which is coming soon).
To be clearer, while the normal Epic Vault Key drop rate is roughly 10% of a normal Vault Key when no Vault event is running, the Epic Vault Key drop rate will NOT be 10% of a Vault Key during a Vault Event, but the Epic Vault Key drop rate for the event has been increased independently for those events.
Also just want to reiterate that we did run tests and check player data for the Epic Vault Keys when the community started reporting issues with the drop rate and the data and tests came back that this is correct.

I thought I’d reply anyway just in case anyone else has the same issue.
The campaign rewards you already earned from the elite pass track are sent to your game mail when you buy the pack.
If you purchased the Elite+ pass the stars for the previous weeks are also added so you don’t miss out for purchasing the pass late.
