A bit off topic here but was it clarified anywhere regarding limited achievements for Eternal Coliseum?
"These achievements will only be available from now until the end of the next PvP League season."
Does this mean end of future season 5 or actually end of current season?
Coliseum Achievements will be removed at the end of season 5.
The achievements are there to encourage people to try the new map and give their feedback, them being limited also encourages people to try out PvP and get the title before it goes away forever.
Yes, that was the intention. We want to reward players for playing the map while it is in Beta and give a cool title to represent that you were there during its beta phase. The beta tag will not be there forever as we will make the changes to the map to bring it up the level of other conquest maps. The achievement are in for around 3 months, going from an entire off-season into a full active season.
After talking with the team we do agree it will be hard for players to get their Capricorn achievements so we have gone ahead and pinned both Coliseum and Capricorn for the next two weeks. Thank you all for you feedback and we will see you in the mists.

I agree, and I've been using both EB and BF to get that leyline gliding! (sooooo close).
on that note, was it considered to trade in potions that drop from dailies for a small amount of relics? it's not a major problem, just a minor annoyance to get a drop thats literally worth 1c, after one bought all three infinite potions. just to give them a bit more value for people with infinite potions.
We're looking into a use for those once you get the infinite potions.

Have you done the checkpoint-system in the new Jumping Puzzle to prevent Teleport to friend for the chest (since the chest has like better loot than normal) or to give some backup plan since this JP is kinda hard?
Either way i have some points pointing against that.
Achievement is granted without all checkpoints (switched midway to mesmer and used teleport to friend to get to my current position)
if you fall to death without being in downstate you don't get revived at a checkpoint.

I do know that at whatever point you became the Fractals team you inherited a unique challenge. I want to thank you for re-addressing the rewards and adding a use for what felt like an abandoned currency. I just spent the lions share of mine infusing and salvaging a stupid pile of rings for stat infusions and I'm not even mad. Ages ago I asked for Fractal rewards to be fixed and likened the even to a Christmas Miracle. I feel like it's finally happened and I want to specifically give you my thanks.
Here's my question: squeezing narrative into something as free-form as Fractals must be a unique challenge, are changes to existing fractals (ranging from a narrative/exposition style invasion from our new antagonist to even swapping enemy types out in a Fractal encounter - different skins but same skills or something similar) somethi...

We don't have any current plans to tell a story in that way, but it's a cool idea.
I completed the Skritt heart but the vendor still acts like I haven't, so I cannot access his inventory.

PVP (achievement) question here (also concerns possible "bad blood" in Unranked):
I am currently VERY concerned about the ability to realistically get the meta achievement for the new coliseum map before the 3rd of October !
You need 50 wins and 25 "defensive kills" (those were the bottlenecks on Capricorn) on this map - and the map will be fighting for the same spot that Capricorn has in Unranked.
Already, A LOT of people get extremely angry if any map other than Capricorn pops in Unranked - and for pretty good reasons because there is a time limit on the achievements !
With the release of the Coliseum, this will get even WORSE !
You will have people fighting to finish their Capricorn achievs, others fighting to get their Coliseum achievs and some poor sods "sandwiched" in between who would like to play "oldschool" maps in Unranked.
My proposal is the following: E...
The Coliseum achievements will not be taken out till the end of season 5. We do understand that these achievements overlapping isn't ideal, but players will have around 3 months from today to complete Coliseum achievements.

Hey guys, congrats on the release! Didn't get to play much (sick, so decided it's better to sleep than to stay up all night playing vidya), but what I've seen so far has been super fun. Skritt pirates are officially my favorite pirates in the game now. Also, a question: now that you're doing a native Mac client (and, presumably, a native OpenGL renderer), how about Linux in the future? We Linux players do exist, however rare we may be... Or at least give us an option to use the OpenGL renderer in the Windows version of the game like B***zard did with their games - that way running the game on Wine should be way easier.

What should I be looking to acquire in the Ring of Fire? Who are the Mursaat? How do I get into the new map? Can a non-expert player like me safely travel across the map, or will it be more difficult to do alone like the enemies in the Heart of Maguuma are?

There are a number of different rewards available to earn in Ember Bay, but I'll leave you to discover those.
There is a NPC in Bloodstone Fen (episode 1) that offers a cutscene which explains who the Mursaat are. I /think/ it's Bennet, down in the camp below the airship, or another NPC thereabout. It's way cooler than any explanation I could offer, so I'll let you go watch that.
You might have to get a little creative in dodging creatures in Ember Bay, but the map was designed to allow you to do that mostly. You should find it navigable.

Hey there, welcome back! I would suggest getting your masteries leveled up (at least gliding and updrafts), and no the maps weren't spawned like the jungle - while Ember Bay has danger at every turn, it's not always 20 pocket raptors to kill you:)
Do you think you guys will ever consider adding the existing/new gliding skills to other maps ? One thing I immediately noticed when I entered EB was the lack of the gliding skill #5, it really made gliding faster and more fluid.
Yes we've talked about it, but I don't have a concrete answer right now..but it's certainly not off the table for future releases.
