Few days ago I played in AC Valhalla normally. Today I can't launch game. I see screen from launching with checking cloud save data and then splash with AC Valhalla logo for few seconds and then all is disappearing and nothing happening. I tried every possible standard solution: ubi connect reinstall, repair and game reinstall, drivers reinstall, checking system updates. Anyone had similar issue ? I can see also at game starter logs:

I wanted to open ticket and send also DxDiag and MSinfo but when I'm choosing game and category of the issue at the support site then "send email" option disappearing and chat is not available for now 🙂

Hey RockMomo7! I'm sorry to hear that you're running into this problem. Can you please go through all the PC troubleshooting steps here to see if they help resolve the issue?

Hey! I'm sorry you're unable to play the game, we can help you with that.

We have a sticky thread with some troubleshooting steps for issues such as this. Here you go: https://forums.ubisoft.com/showthread.php/2241733/

Please check the "System Requirements" section to check everything meets up to par and then "PC troubleshooting" to resolve your crashing issue.

Let us know how it goes!

I'm sorry that you're having trouble viewing the thread! Firstly, please try verifying the game files in Uplay. Then, try running the game as an administrator. If neither of those work, please try the other suggestions in our technical troubleshooting guide here!

Sorry if we're spamming you a bit

That sticky thread can be found in the "Technical Test Player Support" forum, which is where this thread is posted.

If you're unable to find it or the link doesn't work, try clearing your cache and cookies: https://support.ubi.com/en-GB/faqs/000025585/

I'm actually running my computer with three displays (two U2419HCs in profile mode flanking the S2716DG), but one of them is also used by another system. All three displays are DisplayPort connected to my GTX 1070 Ti, the left also connected via HDMI to the other system.

At the time of my issue, the left-most monitor was switched to HDMI-mode for the other system. The left-most display is set for Display 3 in both nVidia Control Panel and Windows properties when all displays are assigned to DP, but changes to Display 1 when I switch it away to HDMI for its dual-use purpose. Might be useful information later.

I also added Hyper Scape in GeForce Control Panel, and it definitely felt that Hyper Scape should be on the S2716DG. No-brainer, right?

On a hunch, I turned the left display back to DisplayPort and launched the game. Surprise! The toast screen and game appeared on that display, in profile view, very ugly and not at all where it should be.

Once in the game settings, I was able to change the display to Display 2-S2716DG and that, along with about 10 minutes of advanced video settings manipulation, did the trick.

So, for all of you Hyper Scape devs out there, you might need to tune your default game config to not try to force the game to Display 1 on first start, and then persist on that config's hardware ID. Instead, have the bits look for the "Primary display" designation in GeForce Control Panel and hook onto that, because I would imagine that by-and-large that does not change.

Cheers!
Thank you so much for sharing your insight on the issue and letting us know exactly how you resolved it! I greatly appreciate it. Happy gaming!

Hi @ulthain90 and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues launching Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

Can you go through any of the PC troubleshooting steps that you may not have tried in the support article here as there have been known to help resolve issues such as games not launching, crashes, freezing, FPS drops and much more.

Please confirm if these steps help to resolve the issue.

@asubanovsky @sneaksquach Welcome to the forums :). I'm sorry to hear that the game is crashing for you as well. I'd like to get some more information to better assist. Like @Ulthain90 's issue, is the program only getting as far as the Assassin's Creed Valhalla splash image before it crashes? Let me know if the game progresses farther than this.

In addition, please make sure to run both Ubisoft Connect and Valhalla with admin rights. Let me know if you see any changes.
