Mr. Butt would like a word with you.

Never mind that I mispelled his name and by that point I was too lazy to change things.

Do we know what specific charities this goes to?

Yeah, we posted the full list of local orgs here.

But when will it be released?

Should be out soon in most regions. Sorry for the delay, took a bit extra time to get everything together!

There's also the fact that they use it as a global reward when things go wrong like Clash and for events as easy and cheap compensation.

Hard to take their word for it when it's beneficial for them, would rather just play it when I want to and play something else when I burn out.

i don't think we're quite that sinister

we talked about this a ways back in Ask Riot

It's pretty hairy as an idea though -- which patch? Which season? And based on what's been going on with WoW Classic, are people more into the IDEA than the reality?

It's definitely something cool to talk about. Which patch would you choose?

Hey all--Riot Smileyjoe here. I posted this on /u/Lenticious 's reply up top to get a little visibility on this but wanted to reply to u/lestargonzaga 's original post too.

Wanted to share with everyone the update that Garena just shared on lol.garena.ph and the League of Legends - Philippines Facebook page so everyone here can see it:

On July 9, 2:16 PM GMT+8, there was an unauthorized modification of the League of Legends PH client lobby where a certain javascript code was inserted. This code performs blockchain mining on affected computers, which consumes CPU resources from these computers. Apart from increased C...

On July 9, 2:16 PM GMT+8, there was an unauthorized modification of the League of Legends PH client lobby where a certain javascript code was inserted. This code performs blockchain mining on affected computers, which consumes CPU resources from these computers. Apart from increased CPU usage, extensive analysis from our security engineers has determined that there is no other impact on affected computers. At July 11, 4:15 AM GMT+8, our security engineers have removed this java...

If I may ask, why is it that PBE plays so much more smoother to me than Live? I play one a somewhat crappy PC and it sucks to feel these random frame stutters on live.

In Live, I usually hover around my 60FPS cap, but very sporadically, it dips down to 47fps or in some cases, down to 30-something fps. In PBE, it feels like I can even play on highest settings and it's a lot smoother, albeit with some hiccups.

It seems to happen sometimes when there's a change in the fog of war.

There shouldn’t be any difference between a version on PBE and that same version on Live. If you are interested in figuring out why, there are some things we can do. Just PM me.

also i get the argument that EUW is big with that many games at the same time but doesn't that go for china, korea, Eune and vietnam as well? those are pretty big as well even bigger than north america and turkey that didn't work as well.

We experienced issues everwhere, some servers died faster/harder than others depending on their hardware/configuration etc. We're aiming to share more details on this in the near future.

Yes they're safe. Any tickets you may have, you'll be able to use in future Clash tournaments.

Yeah that is just it, after reksai took the cass ult the gank was over. Faker didn't even bother flash early - he was that confident.

It's a hard place to be in as C9 there and honestly, 99.9% of the playerbase would have flashed the moment they came out of the bind/knock up but clearly here that wasn't necessary.

Scary how confident he is and not unjustly so, that play alone would tilt most people because it was perfectly executed and he played them flawlessly.

Faker is too good. Against almost any other pro they get that gank off, but against faker they need more guaranteed ccs because he's just so confident at estimating damage.

For that Faker outplay at 6:10, what could c9 have done to actually kill him? Or was it likely for Faker to get away with a kill there, considering he was close to turret and landed his ult?

After Faker stunned Reksai coming in, I don't think they had the damage to kill him. They needed to get the CC layer to go off so that Reksai could DPS while Cass was CC'd. Would've been close if Ryze had landed the empowered Q, but still not enough.

Thanks for noticing! We rolled out a nice optimisation with 8.13, so you should have noticed a good improvement in fps, particularly if your frame rate was already up around 80+fps.

We're constantly monitoring frame rates with each patch, and always looking for ways to speed up the slow parts of the code, and making sure we've not made things worse - hopefully we'll be able to roll out a few more optimisations that'll help even more over the coming patches.

No, the one at Worlds was different. The worlds one the entire thing disappeared and it was caused by having too many spectators in the game. Only a certain number of people got to see the stars and the spectators would sometimes supercede the players.

That's probably not what's happening here considering no one is spectating some random game.

EDIT: Was due to age of observer accounts, not the number of them. Was a bit off in my memory.

It wasn't due to the amount of spectators in the game but due to the observer accounts being older than the player accounts. Check out this bug breakdown for a super cool (IMO) explanation/deep dive.
