What in the world is stab early release? Is there a way to release stabs early?
Early release is the initial part of release which can be blocked, but does not deal damage. Attack stages go something like this: windup (weapon is pulled back) -> release (weapon moves forward). now release is split up into early release (weapon can be blocked, cannot deal damage) -> regular release (weapon can be blocked and deal damage)

Depends on the kind of stutters, a lot of people are reporting wildly different things, some can be related to audio, e.g. here https://mordhau.com/forum/topic/14637/stuttering-and-freezing-issues/?page=3 are some possible solutions, turning cloth off can also fix it for some.
I would but I *really* hate the ranges on the mallets. I'm always afraid someone is going to shoot me from across the map while I'm trying to contort myself into the correct position needed for the mallet to connect.
