Since launch, the team has been working hard to gather, investigate, and address issues surfaced by our players. We know how much our players care, and we resolve to be more transparent and communicate more frequently about how we’re addressing issues.

To begin, we want to provide an update on issues we believe are most critical to our community.

Character Transfers

It is important to us that everyone have the opportunity to choose which server they are playing on. By the time you are reading this, character transfers will have been re-enabled and most players should be able to move their characters. Hi everyone! I’ve heard from the team that they are working to fix everyone listed in this thread as soon as possible and that some of you should be able to transfer now! We appreciate your patience while the team works through this thread.

No need to repost if you’ve already posted here.

I’ll provide an update once everyone should be fixed and able to transfer.

We wanted to assure you the team is working hard to make New World a fair gameplay environment for our players. We are focused on addressing issues with bots and cheaters. Today, for example, we banned over 1,000 cheaters from the game. We will continue to be diligent in our efforts to identify and remove folks violating our Terms of Service.

We are investigating; just took the world down manually to get some data, and it should be back soon in better shape.

When Hades comes back, please try seeing if it’s fixed. From what I’m being told, these should all have been fixed less than an hour ago so if you haven’t tried from an hour ago and haven’t logged out, I would recommend you log out, wait 10 minutes, and then try again.

If you haven’t posted on this thread before, you’ll need to give me your character name and world.

Just to be clear, I am not on the Support Team. I’m doing my best to look into this for you but I can’t guarantee that I can resolve it.

Can you try logging out, waiting for 10 minutes, then going back in? I’m told that there shouldn’t be anything preventing you from being able to add friends now.

I understand the frustration around this whole topic. The Game Moderation team are actively working to improve their detection and execution of instances such as these within New World. We have taken all of your feedback on this situation and exploits as a whole and forwarded it to them.

@NavitronZero I agree this would be a good change for open world PvP and have good news. When the new PvP faction missions I discussed in the blog come out, we will also be adjusting all PvP missions to reset on death rather than be forfeited. There is one exception. One of the new missions we are introducing is pretty difficult to complete, so we don’t even reset the progress on that one when you die, you keep your progress.
