Hey u/aurens and u/Carter_OW - I'll pass this along to QA and our sound folks. For the previous bug we had a way to reproduce the issue and verified before and after the change it fixed that particular scenario. Perhaps there's more to it though. Sorry for the hassle.

It is intended that Mei cannot be healed through Cryo-Freeze.

Thanks for bringing these points to our attention! We wanted to clarify some of things you’re bringing up, as some are intended, and others are being investigated. In the order provided:

  • It is intended that Mei’s Cryo-Freeze makes her untargetable by friendly abilities. This was implemented on May 19 with the note, “Now behaves like Mei’s Ice Wall when it comes to interactions. Cryo-Freeze will block line of sight and collision in much the same way.” Previously, Mei’s Cryo-Freeze would block damage and break line of sight from enemies, but it is now intended to be more consistent and behave the same way for allies as well (i.e. Cryo-Freeze also blocks friendly abilities, projectiles, bullets, etc)
  • We will take a look to see about the change in number of ticks. There was not an intended change to Mei’s freeze rate
  • We will take a look at Mei not stopping Reinhardt’s Charge / Wrecking Ball. Mei’s Cryo-Freeze is intended to serve as an immovable object (on...

Hello everyone!

Today’s experimental card features a few balance changes we’d like to try out (and if successful, add to the live game). Check out the Experimental Mode patch notes here.

We’ve been hearing feedback about Brigitte that she feels too powerful overall. We’d like to try some changes intended to bring Brigitte’s balance more in-line with other supports. This test will be focused on a key change to her Repair Pack that no longer grants additional a...

Hey there, we’re aware of the bug on the replay viewer, sorry for this issue. We’re working on an updated build for the upcoming games, unfortunately we’re unable to make the fix for games that were already played.

The new version will be released later this week as we lead up to the games for this coming weekend.

Cheers and apologies again for the bug.

Wow, time sure does fly!

I’ll never forget working at the first Overwatch Blizzcon demo. At the time we only had 12 heroes and 3 maps but the pure joy and excitement on everyone’s faces after they played the demo and jumped back in line again and again was overwhelmingly beautiful.

A heartfelt thank you to the Overwatch community for an amazing four years and really bringing this game to life with your thoughtful involvement and passion! Looking forward to many more.

Are they working now?! I’m seeing them load on my end, but want to make sure its working!

You’ve pulled off incredible POTGs, pushed millions of payloads, booped your foes off the map and into oblivion, and danced your way into the hearts of your teammates. It’s been an incredible four years of Overwatch. For the Overwatch team, it’s also been years of ingenuity, of creating a game that is a love letter to an auspicious future in which anyone––soldiers, adventurers, scientists, oddities––can become a hero. Years of art, engineering, programming, and development to bring together millions of players worldwide and foster the creation of bonds and memories. And, since the inception of Overwatch, we’ve made countless memories of our own.

To commemorate the game’s fourth anniversary, a few team members took the time to share some of their favorite moments from the development of Overwatch and the past several years of fun that the game has brought.

Hello everyone,

We have a new update to share regarding Hero Pools. We’ve been listening to your feedback and constantly iterating on the feature behind the scenes. We initially implemented Hero Pools to address issues with stagnating metas and to keep match-ups exciting and fresh. However, we’ve found that the introduction of Experimental Card and increased hero balance updates has helped us work towards a healthy, changing meta in Competitive Play without needing to disable heroes.

Going forward, we’ve decided to make the following changes to Hero Pools starting immediately:

  • Hero Pools will be removed indefinitely from Competitive Play, with no tentative date for re-implementation.
  • Beginning June 13, the Overwatch League will utilize a single Hero Pool for the first two weeks of each tournament cycle, which consists of three weeks of qualifier matches and a tournament weekend featuring bracket play. Hero Pools will not be used f...

We’re currently looking at lowering the minimum activation time between when you throw the Concussion Mine and how soon you can detonate it to help bring back the way some players double mine or side jump.

Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it!
