In preparation for the launch of our 3.15 expansion, we've been working on an update that includes some engine improvements and new performance metrics graphs. You can check out a preview of the patch notes in today's news post.

We're planning to deploy this patch before the end of the working week, possibly around two days from now. In the meantime, we've prepared a preview of the patch notes for you, which you can check out below.

Later on this week, we plan on deploying Patch 3.14.2 which includes a variety of fixes. To give you an idea of what to expect, we have prepared a preview of the patch notes for you!

Please note that the patch notes may be changed prior to their deployment.

  • Added Increased Monster Area of Effect modifiers that can be used in Private Leagues.
  • Changed the Hateforge unique gloves to allow them to affect Vaal attacks used by traps and mines again. While these mechanics bypass the intended restrictions of Vaal skills in a similar way to totems, those cases are less abusable now so we've temporarily restored the interaction between Traps, Mines, and Hateforge. This stat will return to preventing use with traps and mines again in 3.15.
  • Fixed some calculation and snapshotting bugs that occurred when two instances of the same Vaal skill that had different soul requirements, which is currently possible when one is in the Triumvirate Aut...

Earlier today we released {LINK REMOVED}Patch 3.14.1d which introduced a 'Clear Cache' button. We want to provide extra information about how this is best used along with an early report on the results of the patch.

The 'Clear Cache' button will clear out several temporary storage locations that Path of Exile uses for things like downloaded images and graphics shaders. After clearing cached shaders your client performance will be temporarily degraded while the client regenerates the shaders it needs. For this reason we recommend only using 'Clear Cache' as a last resort when troubleshooting a crash or other graphical problem, or if the size of the caches has become a problem.

Earlier today we released Patch 3.14.1d which introduced a 'Clear Cache' button. We want to provide extra information about how this is best used along with an early report on the results of the patch.

The 'Clear Cache' button will clear out several temporary storage locations that Path of Exile uses for things like downloaded images and graphics shaders. Within the next few days (possibly as early as tomorrow), we're planning to deploy Patch 3.14.1d which includes the video memory utilisation improvements that we {LINK REMOVED}discussed last week.

3.14.1d Patch Notes
  • The Path of Exile client now utilises your system's video memory more efficiently, which means that assets will stay loaded for longer. For systems with sufficient video memory, this will result in significantly fewer assets being visibly loaded during gameplay.
  • Added 'Wipe Cache' button in Options. While we clear Path of Exile's cache periodically, this button can be used on demand to attempt to troubleshoot issues that may be due to invalid files, or if the cache grows too large.

We're currently working on Patch 3.14.1 which we aim to deploy later this week or early next week. We're also preparing additional information about resource loading, invisible enemies/skills and various related issues. In the meantime, we have prepared a preview of Patch 3.14.1 for you. Please note that this is a preview only and some patch notes may be added or removed before it is deployed.

Ultimatum Improvements and Fixes
  • Stand in the Stone Circle Ultimatum encounters now have larger circles.
  • Monsters in the "Stand in the Stone Circle" Ultimatum encounters have had their experience and drops improved to bring them more into line with other Ultimatum encounters.
  • Re-enabled the Razor Dance Ultimatum modifier.
  • Improved various visual effects in The Trialmaster encounter.
