In about three weeks we'll be announcing our 3.10.0 expansion and its challenge league. Around this time we're planning to introduce a new set of league supporter packs, which means that the current Metamorph Supporter Packs will leave the store forever. While you still have time to consider purchasing one of those, we've selected a variety of stylish outfits you can create with the contents of these Supporter Packs. Check out the video below:

Here are the cosmetic effects featured in this video:

  • Grand Sanctum Body Armour

  • Grand Sanctum Helmet

  • Sanctum Wings

  • Sanctum Weapon Effect

I'm imagining Bex taking Chris, Jonathan, and some other higher-ups into a conference room and, deathly serious: "We need to talk about toucans."

It's happened.

Bex, more than you'll probably ever realize, you've been integral to this community.

As the Community Director, we look to you for information about the game, for explanations when things go wrong, teasers and what have you. You do these things, but so do a lot of people in similar positions.

What makes you (and really, members of GGG in general) different, is that you are having fun, and it shows. It makes every interaction special. You're not just selling a product to us, you're sharing something you're passionate about. And it's amazing.

Thank you for being you, for being involved in a project that you care about, and for sharing your passion with us. Thank you for having fun with instead of just telling us to have fun.

This really means a lot. Thank you.

It's been five years since Bex became our community manager. To mark the occasion, she's taken a moment to talk about what this experience has been like and what it means to be part of the Path of Exile community.

Grinding Gear Games is Hiring!

We're looking for a Web Developer, Senior Animator, Texture Artist, Senior Concept Artist and C++ User Interface Programmer.

If you're reading this post, then you're part of the Path of Exile community, which makes you a great candidate to apply for the below jobs. We love hiring members of the community because they have an existing, extensive knowledge of Path of Exile which lets them really hit the ground running with their jobs and understand exactly what we need. We hire a lot of community members, including well known ones! For example, we recently hired Zaccie and Viperesque (who happened to be both former moderators of the Discord and Subreddit and veteran Path of Exile players).

In 2015 on February 10, I was talking to Chris about something and he casually dropped in at the end of the conversation, "Oh you can change your title to community manager now, by the way." I tried to play it cool and said, "Okay, thanks!", returned to my work like it was no big deal but on the inside, it felt like fireworks were going off. At this point, I had spent two years with the customer support team and I was ready to challenge myself further and learn some new skills. Becoming the community manager seemed like a great opportunity but little did I know, I had just started my dream role.

It's been five years since then but it feels like just five months have passed in that time. Looking back feels like a blur of good times, challenging experiences and great people. Sometimes when I tell people what I do, they'll respond with, "Oh gosh, how do you handle people?" and do this little shudder as they imagine the horrors that await within the gaming community.
