Like how Cymanti ignores terrain with creep? Or boosts with shaman? Or eats with centipede? Or Poison? Or sneak to ignore enemy zone of control? Or Surprise to prevent retaliatory attacks?

Making a one star adjustment to a road cost is the tamest thing compared to special tribes abilities.

Disclaimer: I'm personally very salty that Yadaak was killed. He is not feasible competetively at all, and I've been devastated for months.

Well, those are Special tribes that play by their own rules.

We don't want gameplay changes like "differences in tech" or "unique units" for the Regular tribes. Yadakk is a Regular tribe, so they won't be getting any sort of road bonus.

A lil somethin somethin: You can find the details for this event on the announcement page here.
Hello Polytopians!

We’ve been listening to your feedback on the recent Path of the Ocean update, both good and bad, and we’re making some changes that we hope you’ll like! This patch should help simplify the experience, removing some bloat and streamlining how things are used.

So, without further ado, let’s talk about what’s changing!

We’ve Removed Aqua Crops and Adjusted the Fishing Tech

Yes, you heard us right, despite them only being in the game for a few months, we felt that Aqua Crops (and Aqua Farms) were ultimately unnecessary and clogging up the coastlines. Of course, without Aqua Crops in the water anymore, there should be more fish spawns overall, which is good because the Fishing Tech has, once again, become the first tech on the naval branch and also includes Ports. So, now you can start harvesting fish and getting on the water a... Read more

We don't want to give the tribes special bonuses like this.

If we're going to balance the Yadakk, we're going to keep it in line with the game's established design.

We'll be pushing out a patch soon that should improve this a little. :)

We are doing some backend maintenance in preparation for a new patch, and that this is probably related.

Would you guys be open to the possibility of having a setting to enable what update you are on for non-multiplayer games?

No, as we don't want to divide the playerbase, honestly.

We don't want to make previous versions accessible, as it'd get confusing/impossible to support.

the game is not fun to play anymore against the AI. The spawn are too close and you get punished when inevitably some AI destroys another AI. Honestly of the last ten games I started I haven't finished any of them because I know I won't get three stars.

I usually like to play cymati and half the time my shaman is killed within the first three turns. Within ten turns I get the message that continuing the game is futile because some tribe got destroyed.

Aside from that the game becomes a grind towards the end as the AI keeps spawning shields only just to clog up the play.

I promised myself I wasn't going to do this but I am going to change my rating for the game. It used to be great but now it utterly sucks.

Aside from that I haven't gotten a perfect score since the diplomacy update.

I don't blame people for not updating.

I can tell you that we are looking into some AI adjustments that should be releasing soon.

We can say that we do want the AI to be harder and smarter, though

More of an oversight or overall unintended behavior

All but the Special tribes.
