We are aware. It was a server issue, and we're working to get things fixed.

This is legit, as it's used by the Kickoo Ragoo skin.

Huh, have you asked any of the devs what it could be? Perhaps it's a practical joke

Like other unused stuff, it was probably just an idea that never truly materialized.

Perhaps an upgraded dagger or cloak?

I can tell you that this sprite never appeared during the development of Cloaks/Daggers, nor has it ever come up during our work on the Naval Rework.

I don't even know what this is....

OK. I appreciate all the work you do and know this must be stressful on your end.

...but that is extremely frustrating on our end for the games that have been going on for weeks.

I don't have that much context for the tech, but patching the server to make players un-kickable until the next release seems like it should be tractable...

As much fun as that sounds, that could break things even further.

We've rolled back the server changes, and aren't ready to make further adjustments until we can work on it a bit more.

Comment

We know about it and are trying to fix it.

A beta patch should allow you to resume your game, and that will be coming out next week.

Sorry about that.

Is there any way to prevent folks getting kicked in the meantime — i.e. "freeze" the games? Some of these have been going on for weeks / months...

That we can't do anything about, sadly.

We have rolled back the server changes, but these games will have to wait for the beta patch.

It's a server error that we're fixing.

The broken games will be available after a beta patch that we hope to release by next week.

Sorry about that.

Oh, so basically Assasins sprites in old polytopia versions were used for this abilities?

Well, it was our attempt to add the Assassin and save them off the scrap heap.

Then Assassins turned into Rebels, which turned into Cloaks/Daggers.

Thanks for the answer, also I want to ask about EmbassyTechPriceMultiplier, if of course i will get the answer.

One of the tested incentives to build embassies was a tech cost reduction for techs that an ally already had.

But we changed it to stars for overall flexibility.

Well, at this point, Cloaks weren't a thing, only Assassins > Rebels > Daggers.

Cloaks eventually became the "vehicle" to put Rebels into enemy borders.

whats wrong with the disloyal ability?

Mainly it was a combination of confusion and frustration.

Originally, you were able to place "Rebels" in enemy territory by just tapping on their land and building them. They would flip allegiance against you if you ever captured the city, essentially always being the enemy of whomever owned it.

While interesting, it was frustrating to deal with and wasn't the easiest to explain to players.
