True. It happens with real animals in real life. Some deer have been recorded eating birds. But they aren't obligate carnivores - that's an animal that must eat meat. Animals that primarily eat plants or fungi and only the occasional meat snack are still considered herbivores. Just a little science lesson!
Yeah, I did some research and realized that the term I meant was "opportunistic carnivore", not "obligate".
So, yes, they're still herbivores, but munch on meat now and then.
