Pc player here. I hate seeing yall's posts on Facebook, because of all the haters in the comments section. I used to take the time to call em out one by one but one day I realized, that haters are gonna hate, while the majority of us who play and enjoy the game will do so, silently. Pubg is and always will be the best game. My question is, what are yall scheming!?!? Motor glider on sanhok?!?! LOL

Haters gonna hate. You get the best views from that glider ;)

Hi, pc player here. When driving a boat/aquarail over the Sanhok main river I was always surprised by the "speedbumps" the shallow crossings created. Even though the vehicle physics are generally great, boats really act strange there. (they come to a near halt in mid flight)

Has this been taken into consideration while redesigning the river with the extra bridges and are these bumps now gone?

We had a few playtests to make the rivers as navigable as possible. Check out Pai Nan for added boat-related fun.

Hello Devs,

I wanted to know if the new season brings us a story on the sanhok background, and will there be easter eggs or secret locations in the new map ? (i play on PC)

Thank you.

There is definitely some cool lore coming. Stay tuned.

Change over time? Hmm... interesting.

Hello Devs,

Is there anything YOU personally would like the opportunity to say about the new Sanhok or anything else about PUBG that is on your mind that you may not otherwise have an appropriate platform to do so?

So you know, we as the PUBG community deeply appreciate everything you do, the loud negative comments are a few people, compared to the non-vocal positive people which are in the many, who genuinely love your game. Thanks again for everything you do and keep up the stellar work!

Thank you. (PC)

This is my first big update with the PUBG team, so I really, REALLY hope you all like it!

Do any of you guys play the game yourself? Do you just hit the report button when you get destroyed by the cheater or you guys have more effective methods as internal employees?

We hit the cheat button like everyone else! Yes, every Thursday night in Madison, we watch a stream of Seoul playing (their Friday playday), see how the content is playing outside of our office, and then we join pubs and just get wrecked for a few hours...

Hello, thanks for doing this AMA!

I'd like to know how you guys feel working in the entertainment industry during this pandemic. Are there moments when you wish you could contribute in a more meaningful way than "only" by developing games (no offense!)
Or would you say that perhaps games have a bigger role than ever in connecting people and providing a welcome distraction from all the stress in real life?

platform: PC

I think video games have taken on a larger role in people's lives than ever before during the pandemic. That said, I'd happily trade it all to make it go away.

The map looks great, a new fresh look always makes playing a map feel really different. About how long was the process for this remaster? I'm also curious if a Miramar remaster is on the horizon (It's honestly one of my favorite maps, so i'd be 100% fine either way) or if a new map is more likely but I know that's a much more secretive answer. Keep up the good work, PUBG's honestly my favorite game of all time

I play on PC by the way

Thanks for the question- I think all in, we've been on Sanhok for a little over 6 months. And we love Miramar too- we've absolutely been thinking about how to improve it!

What impact had the pandemic for your team or your personal workflow? Is communication vital does social distance hinder processes?

Pc player

Video meetings are nice for not having a commute and getting some extra sleep, but I really miss seeing the team in person. There are also about a hundred restaurants and bars within walking distance of the office that I really, really miss.

Curious as to your approach to foliage application. Do you use foliage tool, procedural foliage volumes, material blends ... mix?

All of the above- we begin with a procedural system, and then so much hand painting/tweaking!

  1. How are the group calls going during the pandemic between the PUBG Dev team , any funny moments that you guys can share with us ?
  2. How long does it takes for the Design team to plan and release a map , and is there a pattern that every 2 seasons there will be a rework on the oldest map ?

Much love, Shock

  1. My team has a Slack video meeting every morning at 10:15. We've had a few "hot mic" moments with other people, pets, and/or grandfather clocks in the households. Pro-tip: a headset with a wide band on top helps cover up the occasional bed head combined with a coronavirus-induced lack of a haircut for 6 months.

  2. The every 2 season thing isn't necessarily a fixed pattern. It's just how these last 2 happened to work out.

I see that you're all working at the Madison location, so this question isn't so much PUBG focused as more Madison-related. I know Madison has a really big Ultimate Frisbee scene - do any of you or anyone at your office play Ultimate? I'm a big fan of both PUBG and Ultimate, so figured I'd check!

Thanks for your work continuing to update and improve the game!

Console: Xbox

I used to play in MUFA before I sprained my ankle and got old and fat. I still have my team t-shirt from 1999. "Army of Darkness" forever!

That'll probably depend on the feedback we get from the player base.

For me, the Loot Truck. I like hunting the squads hunting the truck!

Will there be any new fundamental changes to PUBG included in Season 8 that we have not heard of yet? (For example, when the Black Zone was added to Karakin) If so, what specifically will be added and are they Sanhok exclusive or will they be for all maps?

Thank you. (PC)

There is some more mid-season content coming, yes. You'll see them first on Sanhok. Whether they make their way to the rest of the world will probably depend on the players' reaction to them.

I played way, way too much Office in CS. Also, I was lucky enough to work on five CoDs, it was a pleasure to art direct Octane on Ghosts- that might be my favorite CoD map!
