I am stuck on this error trying to launch the game. Has anyone successfully found a workaround for this?

I am running Windows 10, AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, NVIDIA 2070 Super, 16GB RAM, SSD hard drives with plenty of space. All updates are applied including the latest NVIDIA driver (511.23 - release date 01/14/2022). I have uninstalled as much as I could, I have turned off all overlays, I've tried shutting down all non-relevant background processes, etc.... I have also submitted crash report and created a support ticket.

Basically I've tried every option that I can think of as well as gone through all of the lists I've found online around what to try if Extraction doesn't launch.

As it stands, though, nothing I do has had any effect on launching the game, I get syncing cloud files, successful, then the yellow title screen, then "Oh no, it crashed!"

I have friends waiting to team up to play this together. Am I stuck waiting for Ubisoft to find this problem and patch it?

I'm almost at the point of considering upgrading to Windows 11 to see if that might happen to fix it, but there's too many other downsides (specifically work compatibilities).

@viscenti

Hey there.

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with crashes/freezes at the moment.

The first thing I would suggest is to attempt each step suggested here that you haven't already attempted. These steps are known to resolve most of the common causes of crashing/freezing.

If after doing so you're still experiencing issues please let us know so we can offer further assistance.

Thanks.

Hey @willrapfornudes

You can find guidance on this on the Microsoft support site for Windows here.
