Hello. I tried updating all my drivers, verified the game files, reinstalled, allowed access to security. I tried everything yet the game crashes at startup every time. I have the right settings for it. Can someone please help?

Hey @xionseto , thanks for getting in touch with us about this - sorry to hear you're getting an error message when starting up Extraction. I'll be happy to help with this 🙂

You've already done many of the steps from our troubleshooting guide, which is great! Please make sure to update your Windows install, and check for background programs that might be interfering with the game, such as graphics or system optimisers.

If that still doesn't work, and you happen to be running on a laptop, please also see this support article, which describes how to make sure the game is correctly using your dedicated graphics card.

If the issue persists, let me know. In that case, can you tell me what happens when it crashes? Is there an error message? Do you need to force quit the game, or does it crash to desktop? How far into the launch does it get? That'll be very helpful for suggesting how to fix it.

@theyellowmist Hey! It may be best to do a clean install as that fully removes the old driver.
