All of my settings and customization keep getting reset every time I launch the game? Is there any workaround?
Could you help us potentially figure out how to reproduce this issue by providing the following:
A video with all the actions take before restarting the game
Do the affected players play the game on multiple platforms
Do they receive the settings at the beginning as it was the first boot ever?
My entire friend group had an issue where the game would reset all settings and cosmetics when we re launched it after closing it but our other progress was saved.

Do you mean that when you initiate the vote to go through to the next sub-zone, that the doors won't open?
You can go over to operators and see the individual amount of XP each operator has earned through incursions.
You can go to progression and see the total % of the game you have completed. The overall advancement (leveling up of the operators) and the studies XP as well (the objectives that each map gives you). In the bottom you can also see the number of milestones you have completed.

INDEX is the self-aware AI used by REACT to help with their research by correlating all the research data, all the codex entries are written by INDEX, with comments and annotations added by other Operators.
Query is basically INDEX making a note to look into something related to what it's looking at.
When someone ends a annotation with something like (@Ash) it's basically a ping to say "This is for you, Ash".

The game may not be for everyone! But as long as you are having a good time that's all that matters!
Difficulty does scale properly. It may all depend on how you approach the game. If you play like you would in L4D or B4B then you're going to find things extremely difficult even at the easier levels.
This game requires a much more tactical, coordinated approach
You need to complete Incursions with other Operators. After each Incursion, your injured Ops will regain HP based on how well you did in that Incursion.
For MIA Ops, you need to return to the Map where you lost them and will need to rescue them.
