I've been encountering this issue for the last few weeks upon my return to this game. Sadly what was once one of my all time favorite games has become unplayable. Each time I have played this game I have an issue where I will play a couple of games and then find myself having a ping of around 200, prior to this my ping will be at a stable 9-17 and then I'm gone. I've spent well over $400 and to have such a horrible experience is atrocious. At this point I'm stuck playing the worst game of all time in Fifa 20. Please either tell me how to resolve these issues in which occur or make changes to your servers which have been the at the best horrible.
This is the worst way to return to a game in which I used to enjoy playing at one point.

Hey KentuckeyMen365,

Thanks for reaching out to us and I am sorry to hear about the issue you've been dealing with.

Would you be able to kindly advise us the following:

1. Since when did you notice this started to happen?
2. Which servers are you connected to?
3. Did you notice whether ping goes up only for yourself or other players too?

In the meantime, if you haven't already, give the following steps a go, that will allow you to establish better connection to game servers, and see whether you notice any improvement at all.

Keep us updated!

Hello TheDorkKnight91, thankyou for letting us know this has been affecting you for the past 2 month.

Were you able to try any of the troubleshooting Ubi-Karl gave you which included port forwarding your routers and switching to us an ethernet cable?

Were you able to test your connection by connecting to a mobile hotspot?

Rainbow six siege is the only game that does this to my internet and it takes the entire service offline for a good 3-5 minutes as I can’t access any webpages or social media on my phone during this time. After it comes back on I am either banned for an abandon sanction or rejoin the game only for the same cycle to repeat itself. I have the original Xbox and it is hardwired into the internet router. I’m hoping someone on this forum has answers to this or have experienced this issue.
Hello, I'm sorry to read you've experienced this in-game.

This actually sounds like a DDOS attack to me. We are keeping players up-to-date on our progress regarding this issue here: https://ubi.li/gIeoS

The basic principle behind this is online players will deliberately send too many requests to your network, which overloads it and eventually it shuts down. This is of course a very frustrating scenario which can happen when gaming online, and we're doing our best to bring this to a close.

Thanks for letting us know this information AndyTranny. I would strongly suggest doing some troubleshooting and port forwarding your router to our servers for this issue, to help your console better connect to our servers.

I recommend these steps and port forwarding as I was having problems myself with another FPS game on PS4, after port forwarding my router I have had no disconnections online and no rubberbanding in matches.

As you didn't say which platform you play on I will give you our connectivity troubleshooting link for each console -

PS4 - https://ubi.li/12soI
PS5 - https://ubi.li/JE6K7
Xbox One - https://ubi.li/6L9Js
XBSX/S - https://ubi.li/55G8e

Please le us know how you get on after trying these steps?

But mines a bit different, in my scenario only the internet connection of my pc and the router gets lost but i still have wifi around the house. I would start a game as usual just to get kicked and then either rejoin to be kicked again or to just get banned

Try something and see what you can do
