I have no clue why but after chimera went out whenever i kill/down someone i get a huge lag spike and i rubber band back to where i was when i shot the person this has caused me to get killed almost all the time. Its very annoying and basically ruining the game for me.

Hi Exolious! I looked and saw you played on PC. Since rubberbanding may be caused by connection issues, I recommend trying these steps and seeing if they help. If it doesn't help, please let support know with MSINFO/DXDIAG and a screenshot of your forwarded ports so we can look into this. Thanks!

Hey koneek.4GT,

I am sorry to hear you are having issues with connection.

Are you having this issue on PC or a Console?

Hey, are you playing on PC or console? If PC, the lag may be performance based rather than connection

Hello everyone!

From the videos I have reviewed for this issue, there are always connectivity icons appearing at the top-right corner, and sometimes before shots are fired. The scoreboard in the first video also showed a ping of 130 which would be related.

Considering everyone's experience is a bit different and the age of the thread, I think it is best that everyone has a support case open. That way our technical team can offer personalised support.

This issue is quite specific and unusual, so it may take multiple troubleshooting steps to determine the root cause.

In my experience, the yellow ping icon only appears if my ping is above 100 and it doesn't result in me rubberbanding back to the place I was at moments ago. I will be uploading a clip of when I had the issue yesterday in a bit, but before I do, you should know that back when this problem appeared for me during Phantom Sight, it was much more sever than what you'll see in the video. I managed to decrease it by setting a static IP, forwarding the game ports, flushing the DNS, and resetting the host file.
It's useful to know that following the connectivity troubleshooting did help a bit, thank you for that.

It is clear that the ping is jumping up very high after a kill, I'm just trying to logically narrow down which players are affected and how we can resolve it. This seems to affect a small amount of players so there may be something in common.

You can see how my ping changes after each kill.
Thank you for the video, this is most useful!

I can see how frustrating it must be for this to happen with every kill, I'm sorry this is affecting you. Have you tried contacting our support directly for troubleshooting?

Thank you for these videos. I have made a note of them to help with the investigation.

Can everyone please confirm if you all have high ping to start with?

BattlEye is located in its own folder, inside the Siege installation folder. Open that folder, right-click BEService_x64, and then: properties/compatibility/run this programme as an administrator.

Battleye can also be uninstalled and installed by clicking the respective files of the same name in that same folder.

Both of the main game and BattlEye .exe files can also be run as administrator. They are named RainbowSix and RainbowSix_BE. Each one is located amongst the main game files in the primary folder - you'll just have to scroll down until you find them.
An interesting thought, thank you once more for your help!

Hello everyone,

Thank you for your continued reports of these issues with injuring and killing opponents, explosions, and subsequent ping spikes. I do apologise that a response from our side has not been provided recently.

If these issues remain prevalent, and all connectivity troubleshooting has been completed for both the game and Uplay PC, please submit a support case to us with your MSINFO and DXDIAG files attached. It would also be helpful to see further clips of the issue in action, if possible, for our investigating teams to look into further.

We are committed to investigating reported issues from our players, and will do everything that we can to address them. Please rest assured that our investigations will continue, even if we are unable to provide regular updates from the investigating teams at this time.

Hey RemiXbomB99,

Thanks for the videos.

I have noticed that during all of your videos, your ping seems to be quite high. I would advise that you attach the screenshot of your port forwarding to the case itself, so that the team are aware you have done it.

Hey RemiXbomB99,

I would advise that you still complete the port forwarding and attach the screenshot to your case so the team can see that you have completed it, as it is one of the first step provided.

Hey usoosu - welcome to the Ubisoft Forums!

What troubleshooting have you attempted so far to try and resolve these issues? What platform are you playing on? Are you using a wireless or wired connection?

It is expected that you would see better performance when using a wired connection, BLACK.ROSEE - there can be interference and also delays when using Wi-Fi, which is why we recommend the use of an ethernet connection.

Hi ArcticMilk! and DADDY.drewXD!

Do you feel this is more like a drop in frame rate or the connection itself lags?

Thanks!

Hey Draken.Wan,

Thanks for reaching out and providing detailed explanation of the issue.

Taking into consideration that you have solid internet connection, have you had a chance to do the troubleshooting steps that were advised earlier, to see if issue persists?
