I am experiencing a sound bug with the latest rainbow six siege patch. I have tried many headsets, some of which are brand new so it's not from my end. I can't distinguish between whether the sound is coming from the left or the right, the sound can only be heard as if it's in front of me. I have spoken to other people and they're experiencing the same thing. I play on ps4, I'm not sure whether that's useful information, maybe it's a Sony bug. But this only happens to me when I play rainbow six siege.

Hey folks,

Can you all confirm the platform you're playing on?

Hi Luckydevil!

We are investigating.

Could you please answer the following questions, in order to help with the investigation of the issue?

- Could you send us a video of the issue? From that video, please also confirm:
- Platform (PS4/Xbox One)
- Map(s) affected
- Connection used (Wired? Wifi?)
- Does the sound error occur in replay cam? (death cam)
- What happened before you started to experience the sound issues? Anything unusual?

Any information could help our investigation, so please feel free to send us as much information as possible!

Thanks!

Hey Operators.
If you're experiencing sound issues, can you answer the following questions please -

Does it happen on specific maps? What maps have you noticed these audio issues on?
Do you use WiFi or LAN connection?
Did you notice the issue only on the replay cam playback? Live in game? Or both in game and on the replay cam?
What happened prior to the audio issue occurring? (Did you equip a certain weapon? Did you walk a certain way? Clips are helpful!)
Can you describe your audio set-up? (Plugged in the monitor, plugged in the controller, using a home cinema system, set of speakers, etc)

If you could also share video footage of it happening, that would be awesome.

For any players who are new to this thread, we are still investigating ways to fix this issue with sound on Siege.

If you would like to aid us in our investigation and help us fix this issue and to reiterate what other colleagues have said, could you please provide all of the following information so we can pass on to our Siege game team -

- Please describe the audio issue you are having. (Example: Muffled gun audio, missing footsteps/gun audio, reverse audio)
- What platform are you playing on?
- Does it happen on specific maps? What maps have you noticed these audio issues on?
- Do you use WiFi or LAN connection?
- Did you notice the issue only on the replay cam playback? Live in game? Or both in game and on the replay cam?
- What happened prior to the audio issue occurring? (Did you equip a certain weapon? Did you walk a certain way? Did you visit a particular location?)
- Can you describe your audio set-up? (Plugged in the monitor, plugged in the controller, using a home cinema system, set of speakers, etc)

In order to correctly identify the cause, we need players to get back to us on all of the above and leave no detail out.
Any video clips you can capture of this or when it occurred would be very useful and thank you for your patience.

Hello!

I'm sorry to hear you've faced a lot of issues in-game. Rainbow Six Siege is a live service which is constantly evolving; we do the very best we can to bring players new content while also resolving any issues that make an appearance.

This issue in particular was resolved previously however it is affecting players once more. Our dev team are investigating and working on a fix.

Sorry to hear you are all still experiencing issues with audio in the game after the latest update, Shadow Legacy.

Unfortunately a lot of these audio issues still exist after Y5S1 and we are trying our best to investigate with your help as we try to reproduce the same bugs on our side, in order to be able to see what cause them.

Some of our reported issues include inverted audio on headphones, missing audio when droning, using a camera or spectating and missing audio in Training Grounds.

We ask players to help add to our reports on these here, through our R6 Fix website -
- Inverted Audio Bug
- Spectator Audio Bug
- Training Grounds Audio

You can also post in our Official Siege forum post here -
https://forums.ubisoft.com/showthrea...rts-after-Y5S1

If you would like to help us investigate these audio issues, please provide all of the following information so we can pass this on to our Siege QA team to reproduce -

- Please describe the audio issue you are having.
(Example: Muffled gun audio, missing footsteps/gun audio, reverse audio)
- What platform are you playing on?
- Does it happen on specific maps? What maps have you noticed these audio issues on?
- Do you use WiFi or a LAN connection?
- Did you notice the issue only on the replay cam playback? Live in game? Or both in game and on the replay cam?
- What happened prior to the audio issue occurring?
(Did you equip a certain weapon? Did you visit a particular location?)
- Can you describe your audio set-up?
(Headphones plugged in the monitor, plugged in a the controller, plugged directly into computer, using a home cinema system, using speakers, etc)
-Do you have any video clips you can record of this happening for us to watch back?

All of this information will go towards replicating and fixing the bug on all platforms, so thank you for your help with this.
