French TV uses the SACEM, it's essentially a bunch of resources (including music) that the channel subscribed to in exchange for... well, using said resources.
SACEM is then meant to compensate the partners for their work.
Most channels assume that every artist is on board with SACEM, or an equivalent and just... roll with it.
Obviously if the soundtrack was never registered in such a program...
You've got a pretty clear case of copyright infringement.
I think I'm going to use this in my IP class, do you mind if I use the litigious video containing the soundtrack ? (educational purpose only ofc, okay maybe I want an excuse to run Rimworld at work.)
