We're working on a big update to Rocket League later this summer, and while we're not quite ready to reveal everything coming to the game just yet, be on the lookout over the next few months. However, we are excited to announce that we'll be celebrating Rocket League's Fifth Anniversary with a two-week event starting at the end of this month with Limited Time Modes, and Rocket League- and Psyonix-themed items in the event store. These items and modes will be revealed in the next few weeks.
The event is outlined there, and there's a big, unrelated update coming later. Thanks again! :)

there was a comment from devin saying the ban notification should have the text that resulted in the punisment displayed but this is a bug and will be fixed. You can submit a ticket to psyonix support to get clarification on why the ban was enforced.

Hiya, this is still true. We know that the missing chat text is causing confusion, and we are working towards resolving this issue as soon as possible. We originally thought it was going to a faster fix within PsyNet, but that is not the case.
I'm all with you on the ban hammer, it's already having effect but why did you stop adding the chat logs? It creates such drama and I can imagine someone genuinely not remembering.

If two people report you now, you get banned. Doesnt matter what happens.
This isn't even remotely true.
We ban players based on what they say, not because they were reported for harassment a few times.
It's possible that during a game ban you may not see certain items appear because you aren't able to communicate with PsyNet. So your Credits may "disappear" however, they are not removed and will "reappear" when the ban is over.
I think this requires clarification. u/bo0td is asking if an opponent can report him for something he said in party chat (as opposed to team chat). You're saying that I could say a few suspect words in party chat without offending my party members and that my opponent's report could get me punished? I just want to clarify that's what you're saying.
Sure, I do need to clarify here. Party Chat is actively filtered, similar to when you choose a Rocket ID, Club Name, and Club Tag. If you repeat something in there that would be worth reporting, it would be filtered, so there's no ban to levy there.
Typically we hear about this in the content of team chat, and that's what I was thinking about in my reply. Someone on your team says something offensive in team chat, and you tell the other team, "please report [player] for saying [slur, etc.]. That isn't necessary, as 1) the first report is all we need, and 2) you shouldn't ask people to report text they cannot see.

Def not taken that way! My reply of "willing to bet you've gotten feedback messages for solo reports, and may not have realized it," wasn't supposed to be, either. I just think it's something that happens to a lot of players, it's on us to adjust the messaging.

I get the this isn’t the same but if you passed a law in the U.S. for instance you couldn’t apply that law to a previous offense.
Bans issued on Monday were for offenses within the previous seven days.
Would it be possible to have a random option for items? like say I make a favorites list of goal explosions or hats and it randomly switches between games/goals

It's odd, cause the only times I've ever gotten the "Action has been taken due to a report" (Soooo satisfying BTW) was when I had someone else report the person too. Is that just a coincidence?
Yes, I think it is. (I'm also willing to bet you've gotten feedback messages for solo reports, and may not have realized it.)
Let's say you report ten people, and we end up taking action against all ten of them. You're not going to get ten Report Feedback messages in a row. You're going to see one message that covers all of them. I think we can work on the wording in this pop-up, but surfacing ten pop-ups to you in succession would be overkill.
There are also going to be cases where you report someone correctly, and they aren't going to be immediately banned. Someone saying "sh*t" once isn't going to be banned (with a curse word like that, it needs to be said across multiple matches within a certain amount of time), which may translate to you reporting them, not getting a feedback message, and coming to the conclusion that the system isn't working.
Your banning policy states the following:
Verbal Text Harassment (which includes offensive language, flooding, etc.)
You're saying that flooding chat with quick chat isn't a bannable offense, then?
Given the cooldown that is in place on quick chats, that is pretty hard to do. Flooding refers to chat in general, and it's a lot easier to flood chat with typed words and phrases than quick chat.

I’ve been getting this screen tearing problem for about a year and a half, I bought a whole new Xbox one x to try and see if it was my Xbox. I also have lived in 2 different places with one of them having great internet and yet I still got screen tears. I also have a nintendo switch and play rocket league on there and I don’t get screen tearing???? It’s fine on there but when it comes to Xbox you guys must be overlooking.
