Correct. OP is not being entirely accurate about what they said to their developer teammate. They're also leaving out that this permanent chat ban is coming after multiple other bans on their account. Had there been no previous bans on their account, this would not have been a permanent chat ban.

Be nice to other players, and be nice to developers when you encounter them in-game. It's not that hard.

Hey guys,

This Paint Finish is specifically used for the NFL Pack and cannot be equipped outside of those decals.

Because it is technically a separate item, it will show in the Manage Inventory list, but not in Car Customization for anything but those decals.

Well, we consider more than just Steam players. Peak hours have changed since going Free to Play and that forced us to find a new time that was off-peak. Unfortunately, any time we push an update will be someone's primetime so we will never make everyone happy. Not to mention we also want to make sure that it's a reasonable hour for us too!

Nope, you shouldn't need to create an account and you can also use a media hosting site like Google Drive too if you prefer.

Definitely appreciate how updates can be disruptive (but necessary). Our recent trend of releasing updates in the evening (in the US at least) is precisely so game updates don't interfere with peak user times, which tend to be earlier in the day. Please remember that Rocket League is a global game, and sorry for the inconvenience!

On Xbox, new version isn't showing up for update and just getting an error saying "version mismatch" on the mode selection screen...

Please restart your Xbox to try and force Xbox to find it.

If that does not work, please try power cycling it by following these instructions:
