You'll want to create an epic account for him, connect the Xbox account as the primary, and install the Epic games version from the epic games store. Just don't connect your steam account to this epic account and you should be good to go!

Yes! Set your primary to Steam, connect both your PS4 and Series S, and your inventory from each platform should be usable. It is on the series x, and it occurs in free play, training, and in game. It just seems like there is no sound or very very faint sound for the ball. No echo or contact sounds.
